Expressions resets when posing?

Hi all,

Another newbie question. I load my Genesis 2, change the facial expressions to what I want, then load a pose. But the pose resets the expressions. I can't figure out how to stop that from happening. I see there is a Lock function, but I must be doing something wrong, cause it doesn't lock at all.

Help? :)

That happens because of how the pose was originally made. Not to be hard on those who have made them for most people started off with the same amount of knowledge on how to do anything with the new program(s). I would suggest loading the desired pose, change the facial expressions, then remake the pose file being sure to uncheck the items NOT to be changed, saving it under a new name of course not to overwrite purchased treasures. Then zero the figure and try the new pose ... with and without facial expressions changed to be sure the desired results were achieved.

Well...that sucks :( . Thanks for replying, Patience.

Oh well, lesson learned. Next time, pose first, do expression later.

Yeah, when it's something that took awhile to set up, I'll save out a scene file which can be used to merge into other scenes when needed.

It may be possible to save a "Pose Preset" selecting just the face expressions, load that other pose, then right-click-"Merge" you'r face expression back in.

I noticed when I was morphing a face and saving it to put on another char, the raised eyebrow stuck to the new character.

check that, it may have been "Shaping preset". Steep learning curve here.
    Nope, it was "Pose Preset".
