Saving 'Scaling' as character 'Shaping Preset'?

I think I just figured out how to adjust the figure shape to better mach a real 'Homo sapien' Gate (longer shin then thigh) instead of the stock Deinonychus leg length proportions. Thing is it was done with the X/Y/Z scaling rather then a 'Morph' slider.
When I went to save the 'Shaping Preset', the X/Y/Z scaling didn't stick. I was able to do a selective Pose save and separate 'Shaping Preset', so they could be 'merged' into a character.
Is there a simpler way to save the 'Scaling' and 'Shaping Preset' as a single whatever-its-called, without invoking skin textures and the full 9-yards?

Try a Properties preset - that gives you several tabs in the options dialogue from which you can select the needed properties.
Thanks for the idea, however it didn't quite work out. It was worth a try.
So apparently, when you leave the character in the "T pose" and save the "Property Presets" that were modified, it only saves the scaling and not the morph settings. Exactly the same results as saving the "Pose Preset" and selecting "Select Scales Only".
Also, I found out, that if you try to save the hair and character as a "Character Preset" the smart-window-thing thinks it is just a hair setting of sorts.
Thanks Jaderail for the brainstorm, of using a "Scene Subset", as that dose work for saving the character and hair. However it can be a pain to go down the checklist and unselect everything except the wanted items. That and the smart-window-thing places the saved character in "Unassigned -> Set" rather then "Unassigned -> Actor".
Going to unselect all, them checking just the wanted items would have been quicker now that I think about it.
You need to use the tabs above the property hierarchy to set options for both shaping and posing.
Why did I not see that, man am I blind or something today, lol. Presto, that works.
The Text was 'gray' on my Daz Studio 4.6 default install layout, I had assumed it was not a usable option for what I had selected. Case and point, I disabled 'Hibernate' on this comp I'm on the moment (Given to me by "Fred").
