Genesis items for Genesis 2?
So I'm stocking up my library and there's not that much out there for Genesis 2/V6 yet, though I'm sure there will be soon enough. In the meantime, is it safe to buy items such as hair and clothes made for Genesis or V5? Will they fit and form to a Genesis 2/V6 figure?

Yes, and some not so well. One hair was to high on the forehead. That is without that converter thing they sell, I don't have that, I don't know if it works as advertised. I need to fix this comp first.
I would love to use the Dragon Slayer wrist-guards on G2F, I'm yet to figure that out. Also that tank/t-shirt with the zig-zag patron.
Thanks for replying!
I'm generally looking for more casual clothing or sci-fi style, like uniforms and armour and such. While there are some things coming for G2, there's mostly formal or skimpy clothing still, which is why I've been looking at the G1/V5 stuff. Anyone have any experience with using Genesis products such as these on V6/Genesis 2?

I don't have any of the items you listed, but I tried Journeyer Scout, Elven Warrior and a few other odd Genesis items, and they all work very well on G2F.
Agreed, over the top cloths, or just not something most people would be allowed to leave the house wearing (Indecent Exposure), lol.
I don't have the funds to look at the items you listed, I just put an Engine in my Jeep.
I have not even managed to find a simple pare of 'Plane' old sneakers for G2F. Guess I need to find out if any of the stock G2M stuff works at all on G2F? I did find a hand full of select set parts from Wilmap that may work, tho with only 4GB in this comp, I was unable to load textures on the stuff let alone render anything.
I vaguely remember the JS wrist-guards not lining up to G2F when importing from G1 in Daz Studio. I'm going to look at that again, I might have done something wrong.
That took about two seconds for the coffee to start to soak into the brain. The shirt and pants collided, and I don't know how to fix that.
As for the Wrist-guards, there Gloves not shirt, in that "Auto-Fit" window thing.
This will help you folks do Shoes from Gen 4 and G1 to the G2's

And For layering clothing, this might be to much on a low end PC but you can try, create a Geo-Shell of your figure. Set the Geo-Shell to not Render in the Parameters (I often set it transparent as well), and load the outer clothing to the Shell, then Parent the Shell to your figure. It will match the figure pose so all layering works properly.
EDIT: For best Auto-Fit on clothing you are not sure which to select, use Bodysuit.
