Help with handles?

I'm not really new to daz anymore, but for some reason I've never used handles on hair or dresses. How do you manipulate them?
I'm not sure where to even look.

If you can see but not select them in the Viewport, they might be set non-selectable. Go to the Scene tab, and click open the body parts of the hair/dress/whatever until you come to a part name that doesn't look like it fits. On dresses, they're usually (but not always) the next level down from the Hip, on Hair, they're probably attached to the Head. Long skirts or hair braids might be a bit more complicated. Once you have the handle selected, all you need to do is look in the Parameters tab and manipulate the Rotate dials (they might have been renamed).

What SpottedKitty says. Most people (including me in the beginning) tries to grab the handle and drag that around, which seldom work at all in DAZ Studio and just turn the clothing into something that resembles an apple pie that has been overrun by a tank.
