Figure's head twists to the left whenever Pose is applied (also, Lip Sync)

edited December 1969 in New Users

I've had this problem for some time but now it's getting to be too much.

I have a V4 character. Whenever I apply a Pose on her (I've purchased from a creator) the face immediately twists to the left (over 20 units), even if the original pose is not supposed to effect any change on the head at all.

I've gotten used to simply twisting her face back.

However, now I've started using the Lip Sync plugin, and as soon as I apply an Audio file to this figure, the exact same thing happens. The face twists to the left, and it stays there for the duration of the "speech".

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Hmmm... OK this is a wild shot in the dark and I'm sure you've already thought of this, but is the pose for V4, or maybe for genesis or M4 or one of the other models?

All of these poses are for V4. And I think it's super odd that Lip Sync does the same thing to her. I don't see why Lip Sync would trigger a head twist at all...

One thing I tried to do is lock the Face->Twist setting at 0 before starting the Lip Sync process, but it didn't work. Her face twisted left as always.

With Victoria 4.2 seelcted (not a bone, the root figure) in the Parameters pane go to Morphforms>Morphs++ and check that there isn't a non-zero value for NeckHeadTwist. If there is, and you are compensating by applying a reverse twist to the head or neck bones, then a pose is likely to zero the twists on the bones but to leave the Morphform in effect.

Ah, that's exactly what the problem was. I had evidently messed around with moving the head to the right in the morphs ++ long long ago, and so then I was "correcting" this by twisting the head to the left, so that the poses and lip sync were doubling up my correction and leaving the head to the left.

    Thank you!!
