Corset Dress Question

More to see if anyone else has this issue than to find a fix.

Using the Corset Dress outfit circa Bethany 7 : https://www.daz3d.com/corset-dress-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s

It comes with some included draping poses. Here's a seated one I'd like to use:

But when I apply this to default G3:

The skirt looks closed in the thumbnail, but hangs open revealing the whole left thigh when applied.

Pose 8 Mirror doesn't really work either.

The thumb shows parts of the leg covered:

Nicely draped! But when I apply the pose:

Not that close to the thumbnail.

Does anybody else who has this outfit see this? Or is everybody else getting the drapings shown in the thumbnails.?

    Hello,

    I made a test and have the same results! The dress pose is not similar to the thumbnail.

    I believe you just apply the poses that came with the dress to G3F, and it puts her in the pose. 

     

    Found this in another thread.  I do not have the dress to test it but could this be the problem?

    The poses are hierarchical poses - you applt them to the figure and they pose both the figure and the dress. It's not like some products where you have to pose figure and dress separately.

    I tried all nineteen poses, and only one or two of them produced drapes remotely similar to their thumbnails. They're all good drapes for the pose (I think it's a lot more plausible for the dress to fall away and reveal the leg when it's split that wide and that high), but they're not as shown in the thumbnails. Maybe the PA had some kind of disk failure where they had to redo the drapes, but they already had the thumbnails?

    @Nikisatez or @Shox-Design might be able to enlighten us.

    Ok, thanks chris! Hard to know sometimes whether something is "real" or just a quirk of my janky DS setup.

    The other thing I seemed to be seeing was that multiple prests seem to apply the same pose, or one that's so nearly identical I can't tell the difference. So there aren't really as many presets as the description would lead you to believe, just a smaller number with some repetitions? Didn't compare every vertex between the similar-looking poses, but...

    Seems almost like there was a file copy problem? There were multiple presets, but some got duplicated and others "left behind".
