Download manager is going bonkers
Due to disaster, the netbook I used for rendering has been replaced. Now trying to get studio pro on it.
But the install manager is trying to download and install everything I ever had first. Of course, all these installs are failing because I don't yet have studio 4 on this new windows 8 machine.
So I already downloaded the install mangler and I'm ready for studio pro:

So I click get studio, and Install Manager comes up.
But it never lets me use any of the previously set accounts: It always makes me make a new one with my email address and password.
Then it goes to
But then, the stupid thing starts trying to install everything else first and gives me kagillions of error messages!
WELL, OF COURSE, YOU KNUCKLEHEAD, YOU'RE INSISTING ON INSTALLING ALL THE ACCESSORIES BEFORE YOU DO THE PROGRAM ITSELF!
(yes, I shouted that 'cause I'm sick of this program doing everything in the wrong order)
It only does what you tell it. If you click install all it will. But I was under the impression it checked for DAZ Studio first as long as no other content had been done first. Maybe you did something like content before the DAZ Studio files were in the install list?
I avoid all that by Installing my Program Files by hand and only use DIM for content and Plugins. Then I know the target file is ready before I install the rest.
I manually install everything. I only use DIM to download, because it's easier than having to go through my entire Product library to get them all. DIM also lets me know when there are updates as well.
Installer worked this time. Installed FAST. I even rendered the smoky scene with DAZ in it. Trotwood is next! Well, maybe not. I do have all my content on a USB drive.
