Is there a simple way to adjust the Translate/Rotate origin for an asset?

Usually when I load a prop, the origin point for Rotate/Translate/Scale operations is close to the item so that when you see it in the Viewport, you can also see the arrows (so you can grab them and move them).
Today I loaded a prop where the origin for the arrows is WAY far from the actual item. I have to zoom far far out to find it and move it, which is cumbersone, so I end up trying to use sliders, but that''s not good either because you have to constantly zoom in and out and in and out to see if it's right and then adjust, see if it's right...
Is there a simple way to modify this origin point so it's closer to the actual prop?

This is a prop, a single node, not a figure with bones? You can edit the centre point with the Joint Editor tool (Tools menu).
