What is "Public Build"?
It is a 'beta' version, and not the current stable version. DIM is trying to install the beta version of the plugin, and cannot find the beta version of DAZ Studio. Make sure to download the correct version of the plugin for your version of DAZ Studio.
I've always taken it to mean there's a Beta version still being worked on, but the Public Build is what everyone not in the beta team can use.
There's the Release build, not usually labelled at all, which is the current stable version
There's the Public Build, a public beta (which si currently older than the stable version, unless I've missed a post)
And presumably there are Private builds, possibly of various ranks, for internal testing.

And IF you knew about those Private builds and told us about, you would have to kill us? ;)

If I knew about any private builds and told you Rob would have to kill me.
