That isn't working because the program isn't the problem. If you use the DIM Installation Manager, it's possible DIM is installing content to one location and DAZ|Studio is looking for content in another location; the two programs do not talk to each other.
In D|S, open the Content Directory Manager (Edit>Preferences, select the Content Library tab, and click on the Content Directory Manager button at the bottom). Open both the Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats sections (the folder paths in both sections should be the same) and post a screenshot here.
As SpottedKitten wrote, how are you instelling the content, and where, and dos DAZ Studio knwo about that location ?
The error indicates that the /data folder is not found.
You say that you have ,many different lcoations. The error as stated before says that DAZ Studio cannot find the /data where the dsf files are installed.

You don't have "My Documents"\DAZ 3D\Studio3\content added to DAZ Studio, and that is where you have installed those gloves according to the screenshot.

Don't forget, that path needs to be added to both D|S and Poser formats. Some of your content in that location may be Poser content anyway, and due to the way they're stored, all textures are technically Poser files — whether they're applied to Poser or D|S objects. If you don't have a path defined as both formats, then D|S doesn't know how to find those files.

Did you also download and install 'Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio ' from your Product Library page?
What item is this that you are trying to load?
Where are you installing compared to where DAZ Studio is looking for the content?
