Obtained RawArt's virus thingy from here: https://www.deviantart.com/rawart3d/art/MicroVirus-833961054 But... I don't know how to do a manual install. Can't find anything in the manual or forums (is it right in front of me?) Help on installing this manually would be appreciated. Thanks

Unzip the file. You will see a file structure Program Files which contains folders named data, props, and runtime. Open the data folder which contains a nested folder RawArt > Microvirus. Go to your Content folder of your Daz Studio installation which should have a data folder. Put the Microvirus data folder in your RawArt data folder; if you don't have one, put the RawArt and its nested Microvirus folder into the data folder. Go to the zip file's props folder and move the contents of the props folder into your content folder's prop folder. Finally, move the microvirus folder of the zip's runtime>texture>RawArt> microvirus into your content>runtime>texture>RawArt folder. There is no Smart Content data so you will have to drill down to get to it.
I made errors in copying the folders so your instructions should have corrected that but I get an error when I try to open. In Daz Studio I go FILE --> OPEN then I navigate to Daz Content/RawArt/MicroVirus and try to open the MicorVirus file which is a "DSON Support File." The log file is of no help, it essentially say there was an error, no details. Any missteps in the above? Thanks
Don't use File-Open - use the Content Libary pane, navigate to <wherever-your-top-level-content-file-is> - Props - MicroVirus and there should be a .duf called "MicroVirus Iray", just double click to load as for any product.
Thanks... got it... I saw "PROPS" in the instructions but it works when it's in the "PROP" folder. A bit confusing when you have two folders like that.
