DS 4.6 why is my content in the "shared" users folder

i'm on a Mac running newly installed Mavericks.....
why was my content installed in the "shared" users folder instead of in my home documents folder ?
i used the download manager to install everything....
it didn't ask me where to install my content... it just put it all in the "shared" folder ....
i thought it was supposed to go in the Home / Documents / Daz3D / Studio...... folder....
or is it different in DAZStudio 4 ?

Because the Content is flagged for use by all USER's of a PC as it is only Data. And the modern recommendation is content of that type no longer go into a User folder. This method allows all users to have access the content without the System Admin needing to set the folder as shared for each user account by hand. It is now a OS compliant method.
EDIT: It also keeps the DIM installed content separate from other content. It allows the DIM to do proper file updates and or uninstalls for files only it has used.
thanx Jaderail ,
i just wanted to be assured that all is as it should be ...
as we all know ... Daz content organization has always been a bit of a clusterflock
