How to archive my custom hair files in standard package?

I noticed that all downloaded hair archives that I bought have the same structure when unarchived:

  • Manifest.dsx
  • Supplement.dsx
  • Content
  • Content/data
  • Content/People
  • Content/Runtime
  • Content/Runtime/Support
  • Content/Runtime/Textures

I am especially curious about Runtime/Support and Runtime/Textures folders - how an artist generates files in Support folder and how he uses relative referencing for texture files?

In general, I am curious whether an artist creates these folder structures themselves by hand or by usage of some automatic tool? I would like to use this tool as well if it's possible to save my works (custom hair and clothes) in organized way.

Last I heard the company [Daz3D] makes the support files for the PAs.

One can make their own however it is rather involved [beyond the scope of one post]. All what is necessary is inside the program.

For textures you would make yourself a subfolder and simply put all your textures in it [preferably in more subfolders so they don't overwrite each other, etc.]

For example: Runtime > Textures > yaruuvva > name of product or whatever ...

When you apply them via the Surfaces Tab and then save out the material presets, the program writes all the necessary pathways into the .duf files.
