DAZ studio crashes during importing OBJ (Already posted in topic - Importing OBJ format - posted on 26th March 2014) after that I stopped using DAZ studio.

Last week I started using DAZ studio - after a minute or so the screen goes blank have to restart system and some times screen goes off / blank and the system crashes and restarts NO ERROR MESSAGE DISPLAYED or no pop up message.

After few crashes my Win XP SP2 got corrupted and have to reformat my C-Drive- installed win XP SP3 - installed only DAZ studio software (No other software).
- Same problem, System crashes while opening program or crashes after one minute or so.

- uninstalled and reinstalled twice (Removed every file using search command), system crashes. Again formatted C-Drive, re installed Daz studio again after downloading via my product library, The same problem occurs meaning crashing or screen goes-blank and system restarts.

- searched forum for similar problems - none found.

This is the first time I am facing this kind of problem.

Is anyone facing similar problems or any solutions Pls.

Does your graphic card have OpenGL support. A lot of older systems don't have it and DS requires it.

    Hi Frank0314

    Thanks for your fast reply.

    - My system spec - Intel core2Duo, 1GB GeForce N210 Nvedia Graphic Card, RAM Installed 4GB.
    - DAZ Studio V 4.6 pro was working fine, before importing very large OBJ file format (see my 1st line) which made DAZ studio crash.
    - How to check - graphic card OpenGL support or compatible.

Yes that card supports it. Have you checked with nVidia to be sure you are on a current driver.

    Hi Frank0314.

    thanks for your reply.

Installed Nvedia Drivers (As per Control Panel-Add 0r Remove program - installed software)

-Nvedia Graphic Card Driver Ver 266.77
-Nvedia HD Audio Driver Ver 1.1.13.1
    -Nveida nView Version 135.60
Nvedia PhysX System Software V 9.10.0514

(All installed from the CD which came along with Graphic Card - The same were installed previously and DAZ Studio was working fine)

-now downloading new drivers version 335.28 will install them and reinstall DAZ studio and will report any developments

    thanks

I had difficulty with the nVidia sourced driver years ago for my MSI , and reverted back to the CD that came with my "NX8600GT-TD512EZ/D2". Apparently that driver is years out of date according to the website, the newest for me is "259.96" circa 2010.

not "6.14.13.6218" circa 6/29/2007 from the CD???. I'll give the new one a shot, perhaps the "Viewfield" will stop going blue as much, lol.

Not that concerned, tho this is interesting. Same as before, the only driver that works is the one from the CD, even with the MSI downloaded ones.

What do you mean I don't have a 8600GT, I'm holding the box in my hand, lol.

I say not an issue as games and 'dxdiag' are happy with the drivers as they are. It was worth a shot.

wrong instal.exe with MSI drivers, I was clicking the control panel install. Apparently the driver in here is newer then 258.96??? nv4_disp.dll 9/12/2013 according to dxdiag??? two many different version numbers and dates, I need to figure what is in this computer. V327.23 OK
