Is there a setting to load all items at "High Resolution" Subdivision lvl 2 by default?

Its risky to subdivide things that were not modelled for subdivision. You'll get unpredictable results.

I agree with you, the 'Base' setting is not as clear as it could be between 'subdivision is off and 'the object is not subdivided'.
Perhaps the whole menu should be greyed out unless the object has been subdivided.

I have not noticed 'everything loading as subd-0'. They always load in the same state they were saved.

So Daz3D cant do anything that good without that Octane thing I take it? Or is part of that 32bit vs 64bit stuff? I have been unable to get rid of the plastic-look as of yet.

    P.S.
GPU temp of 81C, Wow! The compressors in mainframes don't run that hot. I yank the power instantly if the temps here exceed 50C (122F) anywhere in any of my computers (with dedicated external hardwired-protection-circuits).
