I also filed a ticket about the (maddening to me) website Product Library Page "update" and also got the same reply that they'd "pass along the feedback to the team etc" but not making any promises about anything happening. In my post I asked what it even served Daz to strip out info/functions on the page since I could think of no pressing advantage or reason to do so unless to simply "break" the value of the page to drive users to adopt Daz Central. I mentioned that with 5836 products (per my DIM info), a really lousy store search function on Daz3d, and a very tedious, hit&miss mess of content mgmt system in DazStudio itself, that for me (& others) the fastest way to look for/browse purchased content when deciding on what you need for a scene you're working on is to go to the Product Library page, and you can filter by obvious words to narrow your surfing or just click title after title without any filters and you can quickly see a picture and DETAILS for EVERY PRODUCT without having to open a PRODUCT PAGE to READ DETAILS for every one. Also, very helpful to see ORDER# info.
UGH- (smacking self upside the head) for ages I used to "harvest" ALL PROMO IMAGES and screengrab the product page/details and file them with revised names per product & type (e.g., PROPS, CHARS, SETS, VEHICLES, SHADERS, etc) into a folder set of folders per type-- so that I could always have the product promos & details for reference, even when internet was out. But after years of so doing and then too much real life, I stopped "harvesting" when I bought, the backlog got overwhelming, and so I gave that up, and especially began relying on website's Product Library page for reviewing/surfing my content. OF COURSE, scant months later, various PRODUCTS (including many I have) began to disappear from the store, their details/promos GONE, and so... here we are! ; ( This is a lesson I keep getting taught & forgetting over & over it seems: digital content is not reliable, unless you HAVE IT COPIED on some device of your control. Rhapsody, anyone? An early music store that went away, too bad about your purchased library. Never mind all the movie purchase & streaming platforms where they even state the movie you buy may not alway be available in future, and content that goes away according to the latest licensing deals between the studios & platforms. UGH, so much hate :) for this stuff. ;) Consumerism is just too much heartbreak & hard work!
@Novica - as I recall, even the Christmas PA Giveaway items did originally have descriptions and details on their product pages when they released to the store.

Oh my goodness! I just checked nhc.noaa.gov and we have an orange X right over Florida! THAT was unexpected!!!! It has a 50% chance of formation, BAMM, just like that- and you East Coast folks are possibly going to get something going up the coast. They say "paralleling" at the moment, ("initially paralleling") but we know how that can change in a heartbeat. It says moving away from land though. So check that out if you are Georgia, Carolinas, and on up the coast for the next few days. I mean, wow, nothing like going to check on those two X's out in the Atlantic and seeing an ORANGE X (not yellow) about five hours driving time from your house!
@Novica, I make .pdfs of everything I download, I have checked a few of those items quickly and have them. Would you like me to put them here for you?
Mary
Edit: I have them all. Decided to go ahead and attach them for you.
Well one purpose it serves is to make it more difficult or impossible for customers to find information needed to submit requests (such as refunds) to customer service. But with that new limitation in mind I will be purchasing a lot less at DAZ
Yep, I saw that last night; but no information on it yet at Tropical Tidbits
Since I just invested in a solar power grid for my house I was already going to have to cut back on my purchases but now it looks as if I'll be cutting back even more
Hmm, the drive towards Central does also coincidentally make it much harder for people to use external content, since Central doesn't see that. Another reason not to use it (not that I'm letting it near my computer again anyway - it was hard enough to remove after having a look at it the first time round).
How can I make sure I never use DazCentral? Places I need to hide it or deactivate it? I haven't been using Daz lately due to life and all... I seriously got to get back to things...
Simple: don't download or install it. It is external to Studio. The big danger is accidentally downloading it from one of the many links DAZ has floating around on the order confirmation page and in the product library.
I was thinking I had been careful not to download it, but when checking DIM, I couldn't get anything to come up. I was concerned I might have downloaded it if it were hiding under an ambiguous name. Especially now that it's being shoved in our faces so much.
Looking at the sales thread, everybody is having trouble with DIM at the moment - and you still have to go to a separate page to download Daz Central; the Central links on the order page and in the product library link to that page, they don't immediately download or install anything, there are still extra steps after that.
One tricky link, especially if you're used to the 'download all' button at Rendo, is on the order page. Under 'download entire order', the Download and install-link goes to the Daz Central page.
@memcneil70 Oh, that was sweet of you! :)
Well, just had to take two to three months 3D budget to the vet. Cat minus several dodgy teeth, but the other teeth are nice and clean. Have put in a ticket to return all eligible purchases from the last month, and no sales for me this year. It's a good thing the cats make up for it by being cute.
@Novica, you are welcome. And when I pulled those .pdfs up I was surprised at how many of my go to products were included in them. And thinking of others that have come out, during December, the PAs give generously of their skill, knowledge, and artistry. I can't thank them enough.

NOW WHAT. Daz site is going so slow, it's timing out. Other sites are zipping along, it's not my connection. I'm in my Product Library, adding photos to the folders I've made (yep, now slogging through on Phase three. Phase one was downloading all the products, a very smart move- then making folders and putting them in it.) Edit- I JUST got a page to load, took forever.
Is this Daz not handling the number of users? It isn't me!
There has been an error processing your request
Wow! Bunch of stuff site visitors are not supposed to see!
I've been opening Product Library Pages and the store products too (auditing not shopping) When I get error messages the users id is different for me. So this may not be a storwide issue.
Hi @Novica , I'm not seeing any of that. I'm seeing plenty of the horrible stripped product library pages. And everything is running smoothly here.
ROFLMAO
I wonder if it has to do with different servers?
That could be!
If that's me, what a horrible user name LOL MAG would be Magento
Or two different stores? I'm looking at the redirect right after run default store. I use to create sql databases and write php to create back offices for people I built websites for that had content management needs. I'm not an expert but a server error might show as a abd gateway. This looks like too many calls on the require once config file or whtever they are calling. Bet your comments and mine get obliterated lol.
Well, that was fast. Now it's blazing quick.
As long as MY store gets better deals....
As long as I get to shop at YOUR store .. ahem ... have I ever told yo how super-great your forum is ... okay my cat is walking across my keyboard, time to feed her ;)
@artangel LOL, thanks! Not much rendering lately, racing against hurricane formation to use my internet while I've got it. We have a whopping 75% of hurricane season LEFT. Ugh. There is a high pressure system sitting in the Atlantic which will steer all those storms closer to Africa at the moment, straight west according to Weather Channel. So no fish storms with the upcoming two / three. That's why I'm getting the images to the products, I can always categorize them when I'm offline.
I am posting this here because it has new and old products in it and there are at least four threads talking about them. I bought Felix to get a discount and only when I read his .pdf I found out he was a 'catman'! My head spun and I clicked. A recent thread on the Commons asking how to use Monochome Edition Lights and someone gave clear instructions how to use it. I had never tried to do a Steampunk render, so went to my Michael 4 runtime and found this tavern, Midnight Hunter by Luthbel, a cane, gun, and at the suggestion of my flatmate, a milky drink, and a pet mouse sitting on his coat's cape. Since I had to bring up the scene this morning to get the details of the background, I also did a colorized render for comparison. So these are my sixth and seventh renders I did in the series. The character has a lot of options. Mstene did a great job and he is very interesting.

@memcneil70 I love the lightning, particularly in his eyes.
@memcneil70 - He's a... cool cat! LOL. That hair works really well for him!
