    @Fishtales, that is a nice hair. I found an image that may be it by googling.

    That's it and that is the model that shows up in my Runtime too. I did another Animation using her but she doesn't have any skin or UV map so I made her a statue :)

    Antonia Polygon was a freebie from RDNA there are some skins, poses and, clothes for her at sharecg and there was a site just for her but I'm unable to find it if it still exists Found it https://sites.google.com/site/antoniapolygon/

    @nonesuch00, Drake, my Omen Gaming Laptop that I bought two year's ago to use as my portable office. The default RAM was 16GB but I paid for an upgrade to 32GB RAM. It has an NVidia 1080 GeForce GTX card. It is acutally more stable than Dragon, my desktop, which has 64GB RAM and is a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. But a friend built it for me about three years ago and I have had issues since day one. Until recently everything went immediately to CPU since 4.10 (?). I only this past week found something in the card setup to switch it to GPU render mode and I downloaded for the first time the Studio version of the nVidia driver. I still crashed multiple times over the past few days. And just after I posted above, I closed everything down and rebooted the computers while I walked my dog.

    I don't know if that even comes close to answering your question or helps at all.

    Fishtales, I went to ShareCG and while I am mostly clueless searching on sites other than Daz, I found 10 pages of things for 'Antonia'.

    Here I have Brooklyn, Cinder and Zawadi using light DTLP6-Light Probe 8-Soft by DimensionTheory.  I can say I am pretty disappointed at the moment I really like her promo images but this teeth thing...   It wasn't that long ago that I was having teeth trouble with someone elses (not that I can remember off the top of my head who).   And look at Cinders image what is up with the weird blocks on the right side? *looks to be related to that light for whatever reason*  I tried dialing out the smile to see if it still does that and it does... Will have to test further. Oh and I had to reposition her teeth because they were way low in her mouth!   It looks like BD uses the same teeth texture for everyone because I looked at Brooklyns and it looks to be the same.  Do these PA's not look at the whole texture when they test them?  I look at everything when I do testing for someone..........  (Or if I make something myself).  Then theres Zawadi her teeth look like they are glowing........

    Kireina suffers the same tooth problem so out of curiosity I used L'Adair's wax tip, maybe just a little gray but I wanted to show straight out of the box.  Looks pretty good I think!  Aven's teeth are white, she does not use the same texture as the others.

  • When it comes to teeth that bad, I'll either use a different character's teeth textures & surface settings or just use the Iray porcelain shader and adjust the color/surface settings as needed. I've found a few characters have teeth that just won't render completely no matter how long I let it run because they have refractive index settings. Some characters have teeth that are so yellow, I could butter a whole loaf of bread with them. surprise

    I'm having internet issues, my computer is just freezing up over and over again, not able to handle more than a couple programs running at a time :(  I already had the internet company reset the modum last week so pretty sure it's on their end again. But I did BD London (V8)  with L'Adairs SubSurface wax shader, and tweaked just a little. MUCH better than the dirty teeth she comes with. Thanks everyone for showing the ones you have, and testing them.

    Another thing annoying me- in the Content Library, some of the files are BD (whatever) and some are BD_(whatever) so they aren't in alphabetical order. I'm having to use my product library to try and do the B's. And there's one in the characters avatars labeled BD (whatever) and it's not the product name, it's just (whatever) for Another Character. (Just checked, it was Lois for Kala 8 but it's BD Lois in the avatars for Characters. Aaargh.

    I think that was Apex Hair. I had to shut down the studio as the save just wasn't taking.

    One shader that I have tried on teeth to whiten them a bit is Ceramics for Iray/ Satin Ceramic glazed/ KCST White Iray.  It works pretty well to give the teeth a soft slightly off white look.

    Edit to add photo:  This is V4 Frostbite texture that I converted to Iray with the Riversoft 3DL to  Iray converter  on Genesis 2 Belle 6/ Zahara character.   Also used the Ceremic shader on the teeth as the original didn't convet over very well, was a dirty grey looking color, I think this shader helped alot.

    Thanks @kharma

    I think I'll do a post tomorrow and put all the teeth suggestions in there, then link to the one post and put it under Teeth Fixes in the References Tips on the first page. That way we all have them in one place and won't have to dig back through the thread to find the different suggestions. So if anyone has any more, feel free to post and I'll summarize them tomorrow. Going to get some sleep, I'm back on a good schedule.

    Just real quick- if ya'll didn't catch CNN headlines- the virus has mutated and is 3-9x more contagious. Not more deadly, from what they can tell. But spreads like wildfire.

    Here's one more with stronger colored  lights, I think the ceramic shader on the teeth still looks good even with the stronger lighting.

    Well it does and now for sure I will only install G8F / G8M and the G8 DO morph packs on that laptop when it arrives. I actually don't have it yet as it was given to me and has to be shipped.

    I will certainly test out rendering on it and let you know if I have better luck than you do on your laptop. Offhand, your laptop rendering sounds like the scene(s) you are trying are just too big for the GPU video RAM. The specs I just read though say the GeForce 1080 Mobile has 8GB video RAM so it must be a big complex scene if you are running out of RAM.

    The other thing I want to do is make a local WiFi hub on my desktop so this laptop can locally connect to it and I can use the same USB HD for development on both but I can look that setup up later when it arrives.

    thanks

    Hmm, haven't even heard of Trust. But then, I'm a Logitech fan so I usually don't look elsewhere.

    I'm a huge fan of Logitech, too. I've been using "trackballs" since the mid-90's. The first one was a "cheap" brand, and I was constantly cleaning the rubber ball. Took less than year to pay more for the TrackMarble, and I've been using a variation of that ever since. Sadly, the model I prefer is not made as well as it used to be. I'd have to go with something much newer, and I don't like them. (I've tried them out at the local Office Depot.) I'll probably have to suck it up and get something shaped differently eventually, but until them, I'm still using the M570.

    (I've got one for each computer, with an older, red marble for an older wired version in one, so I can tell them apart!)

    I haven't used anything but M570 for years, I think I have at least 6 of them.  Bought a stack of switches recently for repairing the older ones, the switches in these were known to start doubleclicking within a year or two which also happened to mine.  Other logitech models (and probably other brands as well) have or have/had similar problems.  The ones in the newer M570 versions seem to last a lot longer though.  If you buy switches be aware that they can have a different lifetime (max number of clicks they can handle), like 10, 20 or 50 million.  These have 50 million (50M):  https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32685089416.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.65e24c4dldz6GH

    Several youtube videos out there that show how to replace them.

    For those using the DAZ Product Manager there is an update - if you have Auto Update Check enabled, just run the program, otherwise check for updates manually under Help.

    Novica and others, one of my news feeds today, noted that the CDC released data in mid-June that in the USA, the Americans that are dying from Covid-19 at a higher rate than Italy, Spain, UK, and France are in ages that range from 50 to 30 something. The article was cut-off at the point where they wanted a subscription purchase, but were starting to point out that diet and our obesity here was a major issue.

    One way to find the characters by Belladzines would be to go to the PA's store page and look for those items you own.

    Yesterday, I lost internet three times I think. It was very aggravating. I also notice that anything that needed Das Studio to interact with Daz, was very slow, so I think something was going on with the internet.

    I managed to finish one more render, Anya for Josephene 8, and that took some time. I went crazy trying to find lights for the render as her teeth looked 'PINK' regardless of what I used. I finally gave up and went on, did the render. As it developed, the pink wasn't there as bad. Totally weird. I didn't maniuplate anything.

    While I worked today, I did renders of Aven for Teen Raven 8, Era for Eva 8, Rumer for Sydney 8, Sorcha for Bridget 8 (whom I put in Wilmap's G8F Shorts and Top, perfect for a day in the high 80/low 90s). Same set light source for all - PRO-Studio HDR Lighting System 2, Light 01 R. I was using Daz Beta and of course after the first character was set up, Daz had a fatal error and I had a time to save, then closed it, rebooted, reloaded scene. Time.

    I have Brooklyn but she was done above so didn't duplicate.

    @memcneil70   Thanks for showing those. Here's BD Roula (V8), who also had "bad" teeth but I used the Subsurface Workshop natural wax again.  That's Rose Hair (G3F / G8F)   I'm not linking it as not showing much of the outfit, but that's Adventure Outfit (if you like the gloves)

    Thanks Novica. One thing to point out, the teeth color that is off-putting in young people, might be perfect for an older, or fantasy character witch. If you kept records where to find them!

    @Novica,
    @memcneil70,
    @Daventaki

    I have one female from "BD" and I was looking at her teeth materials today. I think the issue is the Translucency Weight. Try dialing it down to the .10 to .20 range and see if that doesn't make those teeth look normal.

    @Novica  -the light seems very nice here, like outdoors in late afternoon or evening; the highlights on her skin and light in her eyes is appealing.  (I'm def going to check out those lights from Paper Tiger!)

    @genaris   The lights have various hues, please note on the number five I changed it slightly in postwork (Corel Photo Paint has the option to change the temperature, etc. It was a bit more blue and I added some green/yellow overall.)  But you'll love those lights :)

    @LAdair I will look at my renders and pick the one that had the worse teeth and load her up (I save the scene set but not the individual characters scenes) and try that translucency suggestion. Thank you.

    It was a toss-up between Rumer and Era, so I went with Rumer. I am posting the original Rumer, whose default translucency weight is .90%, then at 20%, and then at 10%. I honestly can't see much difference between .20 and .10 percents (at least on my monitors). But @LAdair's suggestion worked to clean up those brown teeth.

    Now that they are posted, I can see a difference. I prefer the 0.10 % translucency weight.

    If you are familiar with the Anagenessis products, (I have Anagenessis 2,) it works by using the Diffuse/Base Color image for the various settings with assorted colors for those settings. It can do amazing things to products that do not have Iray materials. The second one is also a Merchant Resource.

    The materials for my BD G8F character look like a hybrid of the Anagenessis technique. If you look at the material parameters in the Surfaces > Editor, I suspect you'll find the same Diffuse/Base Color image in the map locations of Base Color, Translucency Color, Glossy Layered Weight, Glossy Color, Glossy Specular, Base Bump, and possibly a few others. You may want to experiment with removing one or more of those images and setting the color values to default. That may tone down the yellow appearance of the teeth a bit further.

    As for my tip using the Subsurface Workshop's soft plain wax shader, I did some further testing with that, specifically looking at the material settings to see what it does. The SSS Only preset only affects the SSS parameters, (Thin Walled—Off if it isn't already—Transmitted Measurement Distance, Transmitted Color, SSS Mode, Scattering Measurement Distance, SSS Amount and SSS Direction,) while the full preset also changes several other settings. What neither preset does is remove existing images. For that reason, one might get better results experimenting with removing one or more images, (especially if the material zone uses the images as explained in the previous paragraph.)

    Are there any good tutorials on how to do video and add 3d characters/animals/objects to it and have them also interact? I know you can do still photos as frames and then have a high rate of speed but that's old school and I was wondering if there was an easier way. I remember the guy running down a sidewalk from a dinosaur but can't remember if that was a tutorial or just a "look what I did" type video without any explanation.
