I know what you mean Mike. I love my Reality but even on my NICE render PC I had built it still takes so much longer than DS does to get a finished render. So, I do not do many LUX renders unless I plan to leave my PC alone for at least 12 hours.

Pleasantly surprised how this one turned out, mused over it for nearly a week before committing it to render, baked to 1.96k samples in LUX. After 2 hours I suddenly thought maybe I should have put depth of field but maybe not, it good enough with out.

Good one Mike. Not too into the blue hair but I do like it as a full image.

I have some thing about blue or red hair, I went through hair set after hair set and just couldn't find the right one, almost did her bald at one point.

This is a basic test of DOF and lighting, I used one soft box to the left with the snoot extended and a single mesh light to the right. I borrowed a method from another artist who`s name I forget, putting a null right in front of her left eye and setting the focus in reality on the null and the f/stop to 32 gives this nice soft focus with her face almost seaming to be 3d. Rendered to 2.5k samples.

Im not rendering with 3delight in DAZ im using a bridge called Reality to export the files to LUXrender. Start a new thread asking for advice and the guys on here will be more than happy to help (me included) if you give more information than just a forth slider.

Fourth Slider is the fourth render setting in DAZ. I understood that one. Good work Mike, keep it up.

Rendered to 2.12k samples over 20 hours, the caustics on the wall were a total surprise because they didn't appear straight away.

Check my sigline bro. I'm kind of proud to have been asked to join the team.

P.S. Are you really the same Mike that started rendering in the old forums? It's very hard to belive. :bug:

The West Park Morgue. A place of horror, a place of fear and a place for the mad to finally find peace. Now only the lost souls know what went on at the West Park Morgue.

First render done with LUXs EXphoton map, render time 3 hours 36 mins for 2.17k samples. Kind of messed it up as I set the image size to small in Reality for testing and didn`t set it back to full for the proper render.

Mt first attempt with Jamminwolfie`s Sabrina Blinker (Renderosity), had to correct some render mistakes in PS, theres also some LUX poke through which kinda spoils it IMO (don`t know how to patch repair in PS yet). Rendered to 872.56 samples over 17 hours, there's still some render noise but 1 night and 1 day is enough. Hope you guys like it.

Arriving home at 2am Saturday morning after a 1600 mile drive across Europe, exhausted and tired beyond belief with no way in hell of being able to sleep I decided to fire up DAZ and this popped out of my about to crash brain.

Rendered to 2.99k samples using the sun light with the sun it self set to pink and the portra 800CD film setting.
The pose is one from the DM Kay set.
DOF was done by focusing on a small null in front of her left eye.

    Enjoy.

My first full render using normal maps, every texture except skin and hair has a normal map created using Crazy Bump and the sword has a LUX titanium metal materiel for the blades plus a normal map for the handle, there's also a very slight amount of bloom but im hard pressed to actually see it. Only rendered to 1.69Ks due to a weird thing going on with LUX RC3.

    Enjoy....

Great image.....repairs are very easy in PS.

Zoom in close to the area you wish to repair. Then select the clone tool and chose an area very close to the one you wish to repair. Hover over this area then press and hold ALT KEY to select it. Release the ALT KEY then use your mouse [by holding down the left button] to clone the area you want to repair.
