Even though this isn't my first post, I figure I should at least drop a line in here and say hi to all you nice folks who will undoubtedly be answering my numerous questions and critiquing my work! So, "Hi!"

I haven't been doing 3D art for very long, I think around January of this year? Maybe a couple months earlier? I don't know, my memory isn't so good anymore. I've been playing mostly with Carrara 8.5 and enjoying it VERY much. Once I got past the learning curve (Thanks Phil Wilkes!) I found the program much easier to work.

Mostly I've just been playing around with renders and admiring the works in the gallery here. I think I'm going to have to improve a lot in my attempts before I'll feel comfortable posting a final render...

Also, I should probably work on something for a profile pic... It's looking a little ...empty... right now. ;-)

    Ain't that the truth! I've spent more time in Carrara than I have in any of my games (combined) over the last few months... And I used to fancy myself a gamer... :lol:

    Welcome- and don't wait to have a "perfect" or "great" render before you post, there's no such thing as a perfect one and "great" is in the eye of the beholder and isn't necessary anyway. Having fun is what's important and it sounds like you're already there. So pop over to the Art Studio section and starting posting renders when you get comfortable :)
