Hi:

I suspect that I might have messed up some of my file locations, or perhaps moved some files that I shouldn't have touched. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of the software modules, but I don't seem to have picked the correct modules. When I try to load !Gabi for V5, I get an error window indicating that the following files could not be found.

When I look at my directory structure, I do not have the "Evolution" directory and in the case of another model, the "Evolution Body" directory.

I have looked through the package information for several of the software modules that I have purchased, but I did not find them listed. Am I missing some basic files, and where might I find them?

Thanks,

Tim

Did you install the Genesis Starter Essentials along with Genesis 2 Male/Female Starter Essentials. They are a separate download that comes with DAZ Studio

The "Evolution" category of morphs are the "Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs" and "Genesis Evolution: Head Morphs" products I think. Do you got those and installed as well? At least these products are listed as requirement of "Gabi for V5".

    Hi Frank0314 and Renpatsu:

I have even removed those modules and reinstalled them through DAZ Install Manager. That was my thought as to what was wrong as well. Now I really don't know what to do next.

    Thanks

Did you install everything else with DIM? The reason I ask, is because DIM, by default, installs to :
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library

and that path needs to be listed in the Content Directory Manager as a DAZ Studio AND Poser Formats folder. If you installed the earlier files yourself, they may not be in My DAZ 3D Library.

By the way, there are no user facing files for the Evolution morphs, so you wont find them in the Content Library or Smart Content, they only appear in the Parameters pane (or Shaping if you use that)

    Thanks JimmyC_2009

I can confirm that the Directory Manager entries are there for both Poser and Daz. I have been searching for the files using the Windows 8.1 OS. I took the missing file name from the error window and pasted it into Windows Search. That's why I was surprised that there was no directory entry for Evolution or Evolution Body. I have reinstalled Daz since my last note and it did not resolve the issue.

Can you show a screenshot of your Downloads Tab in DIM and then a screen shot of your directory with DS and Poser expanded

What you need to do is find out what directory DiM is installing things too. Go to setup dialog box in DIM and click on the "Installation" tab. It should look like the first image below. The default location to install products is "C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library". Note that this is in Public documents and not your my documents directory.

You can go to Public Documents/MY DAZ 3D Library and check if those files are installed under the data directory.

The next thing to check is if DAZ Studio is looking for things in the library DIM is installing products.

On the Content panel, (Not Smart Content) go to the context menu in the upper right corner and select "Content Directory Manager..." as shown in the 2nd image.

This will bring up the dialog box shown in the 3rd image. Click on the little "+" sign next to DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats to expand the list of libraries of each kind. I have a crazy large number of Poser Format libraries, but generally you only need the first two on the list. The important thing is to make sure the library path that DIM is installing into is listed on both the DAZ Studio Formats and the Poser Formats.

Your getting the Errors because you do not have the Genesis Evolution packages installed. Neither one is on your installed list. Those two figures call those packages and cause the error when they are not found.

    Thanks Jaderail

That is what I have been assuming.

Are these Genesis Evolution Packages not installed automatically? When I look at my Product List on the Daz account page, I have the following items listed.

Are the files I'm missing not supposed to be in one or more of these products?

My thanks!! That would explain everything and there is certainly an easy fix for it.

    Thanks to all.

You mention two products that are sold. I picked up the genesis-evolution-morph-bundle and that has some of the files. I am still missing files and was wondering what the other product is that I need.

    thanks

You installed both the head morphs and the body morphs? What are the items that are still missing?

As Mike points out the Bundle is both sets, two products for one price bundled. Body Morph set and Head Morph set. You should have it all unless the figures need other shapes as well. Like maybe V6 or something.

EDIT: Everything from your first post is in the Head Morphs....

I think he is trying to load Gabi, which requires V5. Victoria 5 is on his list of purchased products, so it should be there if it is installed.

Ah. I assumed the V5 was already installed. That will teach me to assume. I do not have the other figure so did not know what it might be calling...
