Orlean's Armor and an Alpha Canvas

I'm trying to create an alpha canvas for a scene I'm working on but I'm running into a problem with the Orlean's Armor (https://www.daz3d.com/orleans-armor-for-genesis-8-males). No matter what I do the armor doesn't appear in the lapha chanel.

The other figures appear and the figure wearing the armor's exposed areas appear but not the armor, so I get head and hands floating in the air.

The armor renders fine in the beauty canvas just not the alpha.

I even tried loading different textures on the armor and it did no good.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

There are several threads about this armor. I'm reading through several today trying to figure out why it's so iray-render engine dependant regardless of surfaces. If rendered in any other engine it crashed Daz.
