My Mesh Exports Flat

I followed this process

Edit Object ->
Pictures [under Editing Tools] ->
Load + Load = Apply ->
[The terrain looks nice in the preview window] ->
Export [from the drop-down window of Terrain Canvas] ->
Save As ->

The preview window of Export Terrain, the model is completely flat, and that's how it exports.

    What software are you using for export AND import?

    Can you post some screenshots please?
