I have some questions?

Hi!

Sorry about this, usually I'd be more thorough checking the FAQ's and tutorials before posting questions on a forum, but I don't have internet much at the moment so I need to be quick getting my stuff sorted before I go back to my flat (which doesn't have internet installed yet).

I was recommended to DAZ from... somewhere... and I've just downloaded and installed it. It seems only to have one free model, though?

Anyway, what I want to use it for - I'm trying to get better at drawing, and I really like drawing poses with different perspectives (usually either extreme-close up or from high or low angles...) but unfortunately all my drawings look awful because perspective is hard to get right... So, I want something that'll let me pose people/characters and then move the 'camera' around and maybe add things like "fishbowl lens" effects etc.

So, I don't really need a thousand models/clothes etc. because I can just draw them on afterwards... I just want to be able to get a feel for the basic pose shapes etc. - Is there just a female and male "mannequin" figure with no clothes and maybe even a grid showing important lines? I dunno...

Sorry, I'm being a bit roundabout. Basically, I just want a basic mannequin posing tool with maybe a few camera effects, and then I'll do the decorating and backgrounds myself... Can I do all this stuff for free or cheaply, or will I have to buy a lot of things? I don't really want to spend more than 20 quid on anything (ideally, I'd like to stick to free stuff if that's possible?)

Cheers

You should have the Genesis 2 Female, Genesis 2 Male and Genesis figures, some clothing, hair, backgrounds, lights and more. You just need to make sure, from your Product Library, in your store account, that you download and install ALL the Starter Essential pack, the light and shader pack...I think that's all.

All of that should cover your needs.
