Daz crashes when using "Cartoon Shader"?

Hey there! I'm pretty much an amateur when it comes to "shading". I loaded up Millennium Cat LE into a blank scene and tried to put the view on "cartoon shaded" from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the work space, and it crashed immediately. I've tried everything from clothing to figures to complete scenes, and it crashes every single time. I have two computers and Daz is installed on both; I have the 64-bit version and the 32-bit version, and it won't work on either. Am I doing something wrong? I remember in older versions of Daz you could set it to "toon-shading" when rendering but that doesn't seem to be an option. Any advice is appreciated! :)

The Render Settings pane still has an option for Cartoon.

Under Render Style : Shader > Default, select Cartoon instead of Default.

I just tried setting the viewport to 'Cartoon Shaded' on several characters, and the Mil Cat LE as well, with no problems. It sounds like it may be something to do with your Graphics card or drivers.

After the crash happens, reload DS, go to Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File, and see if there are any clues in there. Go straight to the bottom of the log file, to just before where your new session has started, it may give some ideas. If not, try updating your drivers for your graphics card.

I had this problem ages ago. It wasn't a problem with the software (DS 4.0) it was just that my computer couldn't handle it. The same thing happens if I put too many figures in one scene.

The Render Settings option toonifies only the DAZ Default Shader - it is switching the shader code used behind the scenes, as the Lighting Model option does. pwToon is another option.
