Spot Render, what have i done wrong?

Just loaded the basic M6 texture and tried a render. I'm guessing it has something to do with the SSS since trying a different strength changed it a bit. Is this right?
How do i get rid of the reptile skin?

Yes that is the SSS thing, I do not use the Shader myself so can not help you solve the issue. Try to find the Thread on it in the Commons, I know the fix was posted in it.
It's the shading rate and shading scale. What are they set to now for his skin?
The ID # for surfaces is important. Surfaces that makes sense to be grouped together should have the same ID # and have the same shading rate and shading scale.
