No, there is not an uninstall option.
CW is a great tool for me to install hundreds of 3rd parties products but still I have a problem here. As usual, it takes some time when CW installs Characters, Environments and Poses(with Props) related products, so I normally switch to other DAZ application windows to work on my scenes. However CW dialog pops up from time to time when it finishes installing one item and proceeding to the next. Is there a way to set it to work silently or as a background job?
Unfortunately, no. I do not know of a way to make it do that.

One other thing: Content Wizard is not on Mac correctly opening up TextEdit. Is it right that the DUF file is openend in the editor to directly modify it?
Yeah! It works.
The duf file is not opening in TextEdit? You should use this feature for viewing. It is up to the user to NOT edit it.
Did something break recently? I used Content Wizard extensively before but I haven't used it in several months. Now I can install products using the script and they work from the content library but when I try to create smart content and analyze the files I always get a "No user facing files" error. I check the temp directory and all the cr2 and other files are there and the structure looks correct.
I'm running windows 10 and have the latest release version of DAZ.

Ah, I think I worked it out. The product only has poser files no DAZ files so I guess it can't create smart content.
Yup, everything is in the runtime folder (based on the log), which CW deliberately does not inspect.
I ran into that myself over the past few days as I finally got around to installing my HiveWire purchases from Dec 2020. All the Poser files did that, but also closed DS at the same time if I had done more than 5 or so installations. (I have a really picky hard drive on that computer.) I had excellent installations of the newer files with Daz formats and a freebie from Joe Quick.

It looks like you tried this product multiple times. Could you try DELETING the product (per the manual) before installing the smart content again? DS can have issues trying to update an already installed product. Also, you have installed the Content beforehand, correct?

I am so glad I am getting help.My peers won't use 3rd party stuff because they are scared of the folder swaps, so I am determined to figure this out and let them bask in 3rd party content done easy LOL. I went through, deleted everything manually again, and got this error... it seems different? I deleted all the folders, and tried this a bit but it is not working yet.

Thank you for the recent update on ContentWizard and the 8.1 support. Just found it in DIM. Makes a great product even better.
Two small suggestions which would be very cool - at least for my workflow.
1)
I like different product names in Smart Content and in DIM. In Smart Content I usually try to make thinks short like "(Vendor) Productname G8F". In some cases I include the Vendor to show up in SmartContent which makes searching for me easier. Most of the time though I just go for product name + figure supported. Now with DIM I also want to have the Store included in the Product Name (but not in Smart Content). To do so I manually edit the supplement.dsx and add something like "(RC)" (for Renderosity) to the Product Name before I move the ZIP to the package folder. That makes it easier for me to filter in DIM for products form other stores.
Now it would be cool to have this automated like a dialog coming up with the saving out dialog which lets one not only alter the filename but maybe also the product name. Or a check box with the store field to ask whether the store name shall be included with the product name for DIM. Don't know it that would be too specific though.
2)
This has more to do with Smart Content in general. Products supporting more figures do often not distinguish the files properly. So i.e. if Poses are available for G3 and G8 they are often named the same. So smart content shows i.e. Pose or Mat 1 twice. Don't know whether ticking the only show relevant in smart content helps on this. I sometimes edit the ZIP quite heavily and add figure definitons to the file names but that is quite a chore. Any optional automation with content wizard for such things would cool as well.

Hello RiverSoft. I've searched this thread quite a bit, but I'm not seeing an answer to my issue, so hoping you can help. I'm getting the attached error on literally every product I try to install for Smart Content. I've tried multiple, and its the same error (different dsx file name obv for each product) every time. I have watched the tutorial video, I've been through the PDF manual. I'm at a complete loss as to what I'm doing wrong.

Excellent! I am glad you got it resolved.
I am using the DSA files created by CW to install products to DAZ. As they cannot be un-installed that way, I tried to use DIM for installing.
The product was packaged in one zip file, and I placed it into the DIM Package Archive path. I tried both just the ZIP file, plus the ZIP file and the supplement (extracted from the zip and renamed to the package), but DIM did not show the files in the "Ready to Install" tab.
Am I missing something or am I trying something that cannot be done?
(Background: I want to limit the number of installed characters to a minimum, and with DAZ store characters, I just use DIm to install and uninstall as needed. I would like to be able to do the same with cjhaarcters purchased elsewhere).
Do you have the June release of CW? There was a bug in the suggested naming scheme that made DIM not be able to see the exported zip. It was fixed in the latest update.

If I needed to remove the smart content for something I installed through Content Wizard, how would I do it?
Something has recently broken my G8F's smart content, and after trying reinstalling G8F (a hassle, given I have my G8.1 install modified to reenable G8.0 expressions), uninstalling the remaining few DIM products I could actually still see linked to G8F, and reimporting metadata more than once, I've still got the problem. One of the few products I can still see in DIM for G8F is something I installed with Content Wizard install a few days back (and I recall having an issue with something I tried installing a few days back, although I'm not sure it was that specific product), and I need to pull the plug on that smart content for the sake of testing/fixing the problem.
Select the product you want to remove, right-click on it. In the menu, you should see "Show Product in Content Library" - it should be the last entry in the popup menu. Select that. In the Content Library tab, you should now see the prduct selected (sometimes it takes more than one try to move there, so you may have to try twice).
Now, select the product with a right-click. Another popup menu apperas, showing a "Delete" entry. Select that. This will remove the SmartContent of the product (only that, the inslatted product files stay where they are).
