To apply any shaders, you select the item in the Scene pane that you want to apply the shader to, then you MUST select the surface in the Surfaces pane as well. Shaders can only be properly viewed when rendered by the 3Delight render engine, you may not see much of a difference in the Viewport.

There is a PDF along with this item according to the Product Page, have you looked at that too?

You need to select the surfaces you want to apply them to, with the Surface Selection tool or from the list in the Surfaces pane, before applying the shader.

Hoping someone can help me. So I’ve been fooling around with Visual Style Shader and love it so far. But I sorta like more when I apply a shader while holding Command, allowing me to ‘Ignore’ instead of ‘Replace’ the map setting. It seems to achieve a richer color/shading and just seems to be more detailed. Choosing ‘ignore’ also preserves color differences like nipples, makeup and any other variations to the original map. The problem is that when you do this and render, it reverses the shadows/light. i.e. all the shadows become lit and vice versa…like a negative effect. I’m wondering if anyone knows how to avoid this upon rendering or know how to reverse this in post. Thanks!

Merged two threads - please don't start a new thread on the same topic, it just leads to people wasting their time as they cover the ground already covered in the earlier thread. You have in any event posted toi the support thread for this product http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/566546/
