I keep getting these lines when ever I render my character.

    what is your Advanced Render settings Shading Rate set to 1.00? if so drop to 0.50 - 0.20

    And what are the values for displacement strength, min/max and are there any displacement maps being used?

    every thing is as it was when downloaded nothing was changed its just v4 skin mat on genesis

    did you look at this setting yet? But MJC has a point no matter if it loads at a default setting but I still think it is your shading rate.

    Post a screenshot of the Surface settings for the head.

    This is nothing to do with the downloaded and installed character. Shading Rate is a render setting — the default value when you install the program (not the character) is suitable for preview or test renders, but if you want a final quality render of anything, a typical value is 0.2 or 0.1.

    I deleted the character starting over from scratch thank you all anyway.

    Did it have displacement maps?. I ran in to a similar problem with special effect displacement maps that where in jpg format. Because of the compression artifacts with jpg areas that where meant to be solid black were not. I had to fix the black area in a paint program and re-save as tiff format.
