Yeah the top looks funky to me. Reminds me of the top of horror survivor. I'm a bit surprised with all the focus on skimp wear that breasts still don't fit properly in clothing except the ubiquitous corsets outfits With a toga and absence of a foundation garment the top would have a more blousey feel.

The Brit Hair was for Jayden but I like it on the other males. This is the same light set as Taric/Ginger but with the colors changed to a myriad of blues, whites, and only one rose/rust.

I tested Hector on Genesis 2 Male, not Gianni, so he is not the bulging, muscular male shown in the promos. More of a typical dude. I wanted to test the textures on the Hot Tub Pergola, see what the wood and water looked like. I'm doing a closeup of Hector but it is taking a long time. Perhaps later tonight.

He looks really different on Gianni than on Genesis 2 Male, doesn't he?!

I've plopped Nidale in the hot tub to see what a figure in the water looks like. She'll be coming up shortly. Anyone have any Pergola Hot Tub renders? Feel free to share. (Anyone, not just IGCs)

Well, the opacity of the water needs to be turned down. It's on 60, I'd redo this with about a 45% to see how it looks. I darkened Nidale's teeth so they were not glowing white. Used a bit of blue specular.

I'm not linking the Nidale character and Thalia Hair because we've covered both of those many times. I was just testing the hot tub water.

Yea, that looks more like sea water then pool water (green not blue). As for Nidale, that's just not fair, lol. I was contemplating putting her in the wishlist, until I realized the choice was made for me (Included in the No missing "Critical Equipment" Bundle). Kori (Also included in Pro Bundle), and Cassia, didn't require much though, just add them (the one).

I'm actually thinking about purchasing Cassia now, I just have no idea how many error messages I'll get with out Olympia, lol.

There's so many other things in the mean time, like finding a knee-length skirt that a figure can actually dance in (Not the spandex things). That Sailor-outfit at sharecg (Just the skirt) would be nice if it worked on G2F (and the hovering cubes didn't stay in the renders).

I didn't have time to put her in the hot tub right now :) but here's a quick comparison for you of Cassia with (green background) and without Olympia.

Only the head shape will be affected, it looks like the body is a custom morph and doesn't rely on Olympia (note: I didn't dial it into the G2F version shown here). Of course, you can morph G2F head to match more closely than the default G2F shape shown here.

Also features Paige dress with NYC Couture textures and of course Jewell hair.

FWIW, Cassia and Nidale are the 2 G2F characters I currently like best.

Update: I updated the G2F pics - these don't have any Olympia morphs but do show the Cassia part of the head morph. The forum software keeps re-ordering these, just remember pink = without Olympia, green = with Olympia.

Now that is interesting, the green background looks more like the promos. hmmm.
    (edit)
can you turn the top off on that paige dress, and use a different top? simple opacity to 0%, or much more complicated?

Yes, green background is with Olympia -- sorry the pics got ordered so the G2F version was shown first. So pink background = without (i.e. just G2F).

Have to run but will look at the dress in a while....

OK, I've taken a look at the Paige dress. The whole dress is one material zone, so you'd have to create an additional one before you could turn the opacity down on the top. The strap can be made invisible and so can the belt.

was letting the computer think a bit, lol. Thanks for looking into that for me, good info to know. Like so many other full-dresses, difficult if not impossible to make it just a knee-length skirt. Well been a long day, chat later y'all.

Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with linking the products to the posts, there's just too many and I would never be moving forward learning anything. There have been many Cassia, Nidale, Olympia posts on the third thread and this one :)

FYI: I joined the PC+ and want to point out something (that I posted on the PC+ thread, sticky, in Commons)
It is confusing at first, but DAZ did something nice. The stores in the summer promo which are also PA stores who are participating in +, are identified for you. You just shop, the discounts stack.

I will be focusing on PA's who were nice enough to opt in and let stacking discounts occur. Get ready for some fun! :) (Because I have thousands of products, there will always be some I can feature for you that are in the stacking sales. Hopefully I'll have time to do them, aka, one day sales will be a bit difficult.)

I posted this over in that thread, but here's a sample of your savings if you buy 3 summer promos, and some from the participating PC+ vendors. This is a sample cart.

Click to enlarge and click again.

BTW, forgot to say thanks for sharing and helping out, Jindi :)

FYI, the artists who have stacking discounts with the summer promo / PC+ right now are:
    RawArt
    The AntFarm
    Pretty3D
    Stonemason
    3D Universe
    Muscleman
    Countess
    Swam
    Blondie9999
    Mada
    Valea
    Diane
    FWArt
    Cake One

If you are a PC+ member, these stores have PC+ on them (EDIT: On the Summer Promo page), making it easy. I don't remember seeing a statement in the other forum about how long the rotating artists for + stay active. Will have to try and get an answer on that.

FYI folks, I am getting quite a few weird shopping experiences- if you are buying right now, be sure to click and compare the prices in the gallery page with the product pages if you enter from somewhere other than the vendor's main store page. The product pages are coming up higher (and some give the lower price as listed on the gallery page anyway) but some are not. Countess store right now with the V4 sale is really wrong on the individual product pages. With Stonemason, if grouped in 64, all items show the discount. If using the default 16, only the first page group had the discounts. Be careful right now and view the products from the gallery and the product page. Some of the stores are giving the discounts correctly even if the product page is wrong, (Such as Diane's store) but Countess is not giving the 80% V4 sale (at least not to PC+ members, and they've already said that is not correct. PC+ members do not pay more during sales.)

I've watched this thread for a while. I find it fascinating the way you guys think, and I enjoy seeing what you find most or least valuable about a product. The continuous product showcase is really very cool, especially since I've started using DS more. "Thank you!" and please forgive my sudden intrusion.

The Hot Tub Pergola and associated poses used to be one of my favorite items. Rendered the snot out of it when it first came out and haven't touched it in quite a while. None of my pictures had the sea-green water, though. I dusted it off and made some new images. Tried to keep all the same things as you in the scene. I did two DS renders (one with an AA light and one with a Dimension Theory light) both with Nidale and Thalia hair. The Poser render is using IDL (one of my normal light rigs) with V4 and Perseus hair on one of Maddelirium's girls. The Hot Tub Pergola is rendered as it loads into the scenes. No adjustments were made to it before or after the render. Neither the DS nor the Poser renders have sea-green water. Very weird.

Welcome to the thread, no forgiveness needed. Enjoy hearing from our lurkers :)
I think the difference is the UE2 light setup is doing something weird. The dome seems to be whacky on mine, and I was going to ask for help! about that. If I move backwards in view, I am enveloped with the blinding white "wall" or part of the sphere, I don't know. But suddenly I am on the outside of the dome or whatever it is. (I'm not very technical with lights yet, lol.) It's great to know the default isn't what I'm getting. The lights are a combo of blues and greens with one orange-ish one, so that may contribute to the color of the water. It's definitely not a keeper, lol!

Thanks so much for sharing and pop in anytime.

Water in a hot tub is pretty challenging. You're going to want a lot of foam if it is turned on, and the tubs are sort of just a flat water relying on texture to make it look watery.

The other challenge I tendt to run into with water, is that the shadows can look harsh on the surface under certain lighting. You don't want your water plane to cast shadows or hard edges on the water.

This is not a criticism of any art here, just the things that happened to me when I tried to render the hot tub.

I decided to do one big order for June as I manipulated it to get the buy 3 get 50%, the Victoria 4 80% off on a few of them, and then the PC+ discount, AND the $6.00 off coupon. These are ONLY the vendors who are PC+ vendors AND who are participating in the summer sale, so if you buy 1 of that, it's 30%, 2 is 40%, and 3 is 50% (without being a PC+ member) The Pole Dance, AirBoat 106, and Giselle products were my three to trigger the 50% off. I haven't shopped hardly at all (and didn't buy Aiko 6 or related things) and limited spending the past three weeks in case there was a big or stacking sale. So with Stonemason included in the rotating PC+ artists, I went for the 2 wishlisted things -Prototype & Sci-Fi Bedroom. The bedroom went from $26.95 to $8.67 and that great robot 34.95 to 11.26

So I went for only stacking discounts by shopping with the vendors marked PC+ found on the New Releases page, under the summer promotion vendors whose stores are discounted for you if you shop that sale. I know all this is confusing at first, but when DAZ marked the vendors for us, it was easy smeezy. Really. A tip for you PC+ folks- if you want V4 stuff, go to my post that lists the participating PC+ artists, open a new window, go to the V4 sale and simply find the vendors in the side menu ("By Vendor") and you know the stores will be further discounted for you in the V4 sale too!

    A few thoughts-

The Fitness Pole Dance Poses- take a look at those, they can be used for swimming and gymnastics, not just for pole dancing. They are also good starting points for poses as it won't take much to bring a leg forward from the position it's in. (Use them for that hot tub, lol.)

I am really curious about SkySystem- anyone use that? Seems like a neat concept. I'll see if I can figure out how to use it, lol.
    http://www.daz3d.com/skysystem
    http://www.daz3d.com/skysystem-backgrounds

If you're interested in any of these, they are a sample of what you can "double dip" with PC+ (and use $6 code too, none are new releases) and summer promotion discounts:

Fitness Pole Dance Poses and Prop for Genesis 2 Female(s) (New Release, Summer Promotion)
    FangTastic for Genesis 2 Male(s)
AirBoat 105 (New Release, Summer Promotion)
    SkySystem
    SkySystem Backgrounds
BWC Poses of the Orient / FWSA Keshi Jewels of the Orient (Keshi Bundle)
    FangTastic for Genesis 2 Female(s)
FWSA Siblings - Jaina and Jessi
Rigidity Grouping and Mapping in DS 4.5+ (For those looking for discounted tutorials)
FW Merfolk /FW Naida and Nalin (Bundle)
Rough Boy Poses for Gianni 6
Enchanted Giselle 6 (New Release, Summer Promotion)
    Prototype
    Sci-Fi Bedroom
    DAZ Dragon 3 Fantasy Poses

I'll see if I can render some of these for you.

Not a problem :) Remember all the fun I had getting that pool right? The one with the little girl, dog, and hunky dude? I think it was Tanisha for the African American girl, but can't remember the man. But that took quite a bit of time, and this was a quickie andI knew this looked funky. Like algae soup LOL.

No problem at all. I'm just sorry I haven't been around to post anywhere near as often as I'd like.

I'm going to re-render and re-post Cassia on G2F for zarcondeegrissom to check that I'd included the Cassia-only head morph on G2F (just not the Olympia specific morph). Hmm... not seeing much difference so maybe I did do that first time round after all after all! In any case, my post now shows Cassia with her own morphs first on G2F and then on Olympia.

I like Cassia a lot, and it was your earlier renders of her here that convinced me to try her. :)

    BWC Sitting Vicky (Sedor)
    http://www.daz3d.com/bwc-sitting-vicky-for-victoria-6

I noticed this pose set had some really cute finger and feet positions. Not quite typical. For instance, look at the way the feet are turned in slightly toward each other, instead of being straight. I thought that really helped set the mood. And the fingers are not perfectly placed on the "ledge" (which isn't there, lol) which is very realistic. On the second one, if you are using a shorter figure such as Stephanie, you might need to lower the elbows a bit onto the lap for the one holding her head. I put the elbow a bit too much into the leg- that was me, not Sedor

This is Keira and she is a shortie. Shown with Effortless Cool pants and Gossip shirt, which didn't have very many morphs unless I am just overlooking something. I expanded Scene tab to chest, and nada. In Actor, just had 3 morphs- one shoulder, one waist, one sleeves if I recall. Had to use Scale to expand the chest. Seemed to do well though, and went over the pants nicely.

The third one, she could be talking on the phone and holding a drink. :)

So if you're looking for some cute relaxed poses for sitting on a ledge, in a chair, on the floor, or standing, check out the Sitting Vicky.

EDIT: Hair is Philly Hair. I changed the product title, this is the Sitting Vicky set, not the Poised Poses. I'll do those tomorrow because I really like those too!

BTW, would someone check out the Gossip pants on Keira or just plain Stephanie 5? I got some WEIRD triangles sticking out from the bottom of the pants leg, and they weren't handles. Couldn't click on them, when I selected them using the surface/material tool (forgot the correct term, it's 4:20am and I want some SLEEP!) they showed up in Surfaces as the pants. Nothing when pants were broken down in Scene. Repeat- they were NOT handles.

I'm thinking I found a bug- not sure if it was because Stephanie is so petite.

The triangles appeared at the ankles and pointed forward, like hovering over the top of the shoes.

I tried the Gossip pants again and no triangles. Beats me what was going on, because I tried those pants twice on this same figure and there were triangles. (Same pose- the T pose.) So don't need assistance with that but thanks anyway.

Thanks Jindi, your first set of renders showed the difference in the face nicely, Thanks. I did follow what colors was with and without Olympia, enough to realize that even If I don't get a bunch of error warnings, Olympia may be necessary. I am aware that some stuff turns the base up somewhat, and others go for the 100% morph (At least with V6 stuff). And some times the sliders are burred, in the individual categories (It's B.C. [Before Coffee] I can't remember whom).

PC+ sails are impressive, tho your bottom line still makes me a tad bit nervous Novica. It's only costs a couple of dollars, do tend to add up, quickly. I see stuff on that list I at-least thought about. Looking forward to hearing about how well they play with others. Keshi jewellery on others, for example.

    Ah, coffee is ready.

"O" there was that free lesson, Two of. V4 to G2F, and M4 to G2M. As for the V4-to-G2F, it requiers two things "Basicwear for V4 Unimesh" (on sail), and "Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female". I already got the "Victoria 4.2 Morphs++", so the only thing I'm missing right now is the V4-for-G2F.
    http://www.daz3d.com/using-auto-fit-victoria-4-to-genesis-2-female
    http://www.daz3d.com/basicwear-for-v4-unimesh
    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

    (included with some V4 bundles)
    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-morphs

So I got the Lessons, and "Basicwear for V4 Unimesh"... The "Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female" will have to wait for other bills to filter threw (Jeep Inspection Sticker).

    (edit)
I've been having difficulty with cloths fitting correctly as well. Don't know if it was an update to studio, or that I now have a much larger wardrobe collection. Hopefully there is something in that lesson that may help.

Saba Taru, That Dimension Theory lights render of the water has an almost electric look to it. Reminds me of the z-pinch reactor, tho not quite as much like the dancing lightning. The other two renders look a bit more realistic, thanks for sharing that.

The water it's self dose look more like something inviting to dive into.

I can certainly understand how the "bottom line" is going to be of concern for PC+. I'd only recommend it if someone has a bit of money saved up to get a higher stacking discount when buy/buy/buy raises the percentage off when coupled with those PA's being in the rotating included PAs. And/or if you can wait a month or two and not buy PC items until end of July. You still get the freebies so nothing changes there. Then go for big ticket items if you can.

Thought I'd share some of the prices with the 50% off (bought 3 summer promo items), the PA discount, plus the $6 off spread out through a lot of items (about 12, so not much of an impact.) What I did was knock out 4 of my priority wishlist items, then pick up a few others on there that were "if they are the right price, do it while it's stacking." I only bought the participating artists stores- and that will be my trend while I'm in the +.

To get the 50% discount, the three things totaled 23.00 and are things I will eventually use. I went with a water vehicle, Giselle poses that can be used on other figures, and pole poses that can be used in other situations. (I also just loved how elegant they were, frankly!) So yep, there's the consideration that you do have to buy to get discounts. (But at the end of this post, you'll see the impact they had overall.) May or may not be an issue if the items are things you like/can use, OR if it gets you a much bigger discount and you might use them.

Here's how I fared on my big ticket priority items:
BWC Poses of the Orient / FWSA Keshi / Jewels of the Orient (Keshi Bundle) $35.95 / 11.58
FW Merfolk /FW Naida and Nalin (Bundle) 19.95 / 6.42
    Prototype 34.95 / 11.46
    Sci-Fi Bedroom 26.95 / 8.67
TOTAL: 117.80 / paid 38.13 for 7 items (bundles) for average of $5.45 apiece. We're talking 2 being Stonemason too! :)

    FangTastic for Genesis 2 Male(s) PLUS FangTastic for Genesis 2 Female(s) (BUNDLE) 19.95 / 6.43
    SkySystem $12.95 / 4.18
    SkySystem Backgrounds 7.95 / 2.56
    FWSA Siblings - Jaina and Jessi 16.95 / 5.46
Rigidity Grouping and Mapping in DS 4.5+ (For those looking for discounted tutorials) 19.95 / 6.42
    Rough Boy Poses for Gianni 6 12.95 / 4.17
    DAZ Dragon 3 Fantasy Poses 10.95 / 3.61
Total: 101.65 / 32.83 for 8 items (siblings only counted as one product, they come that way) 4.10 per product!

    Overall: Totals full price 219.45 / 70.96
However, my total including the 3 required promos was 93.77 so those cost 22.81. Let's factor that into the results.

Hope this helps to provide a clear view of what's happening inside the PC+. It's working for me but I'm PC saturated and if the PC prices increase, I'll just be waiting till the items go off new status and using my two codes- BOTH apply to PC items. (one with an 18.00 minimum, which won't be hard if you are waiting for them to get off new status then buying a group of them. The $6 knocks it down a bit.)

I want to say here that our PA's work so hard and wouldn't do what they do unless they loved it, and I want to thank all of them who are participating in the PC test. As you can see (if you're a PA reading this) you've got my support and I am focusing my money on those of you who took the leap of faith and signed on to test it- all 117 of you! :) HUGS.

http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/42712/ is the thread to discuss the PC+ options. Please post any debate about it over there. I just wanted to give you an "inside look." This thread is for our daily product showcasing. Thanks! :)
