Just rendered this one with the new Andrey Pestryakov Stones and Structures https://www.daz3d.com/stones-and-structures
in the background. I think this will be a great addition to ultrascenery.

New scene I created with Barbult's great experiments and some tinkering of my own.  Used Ultrascenery and also some assets from World Gardens-Japan,

Thanks for the shout out. I'm thrilled that someone read it and used it to do their own thing! There's no stopping you now. I hope to see a lot more unique ecologies renders from you. That's a nice image, with the building in the water. Is that a stone path I see leading up to it? That ties is to the surrounding land.

A very striking image.  Andrey's new set is currently  on my wish list.  You have inspired me with all sorts of ideas for combining it with my ultra scenes.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

My latest venture deep into the darkest interior of Ultrascenery.  Lake 2 and  Oaks 9 from the first expansion bundle.  Brown bear by Alessandro AM, with hair by Dforce.  Background rocks courtesy of Andrey Pestryakov’s new Stones and Structures set. Acknowledgments to @daveso for inspiring the last bit.

That worked rather well. That building fits into the scene as if it were meant to be there.

A couple of scenes I built today (I didn't have a lot of spare time, so nothing very exciting)

First is using River 2 and Oaks 04, with Merln Studio's Ruined Cottage and a few extra plants.

Second is my own clearing feature and Oaks 07, with the old Mog Ruith building with Celtic Hall texture, tweaked a little for Iray.

So many great images being posted. I finally had a chance to give it a try myself. I must say this is the best scenery product out there. Can't wait to try it out more.

Maybe it's age, but I don't remember thanking you for this wonderful piece of software !

So thank you, thank you. I will suspend my subscribtion to Vue : it's really costly and there's no easy way to import Daz people in it,

I think the first version I bought was Vue 4. Their latest iterations are really not aimed at hobbyists, that's really bad because it's a really powerful tool combined to TPF.

As for Bryce, before Vue it was a neat thing, but the absence of improvements since ages, is making it almost unusable for realistic scenes, (same for Carrara and Hexagon)

    I have 5 remarks :

    1) a painting system for scattering like in Vue would be a great thing, is it possible within Daz Studio ?

    2) compared to Eon Plantfactory, the vegetation available at Daz is not great for close up : it lacks details on barks and foliages as transmaps is not the best available solution, not to mention the absence of randomness in generating plants.

    3) a random generator for rocks would be a great addon, but it may be impossible to make in Studio ?

    4) a simple way to hide all trees would be helpful for posing peoples purposes

    4) Is there a way to add folders in the so called "smart content thing" (It may be an absolute dumb question).Because landscape and vegetation are very very large notions.

Adding subfolders for trees (High and low resolution folders), bushes, rocks, mosses, small plants and grasses would be much less time consuming.

I'm progressively buying all your products.

Some day I will try to make the sum of how much I spent on these computer toys, I think it's my biggest hobby budget.

Bicycles, hiking and gardening or woodworking tools are so much more durable than anything computer related...

Too bad I'm not gifted enough to paint and draw, this would be so cheap compared to premade things from Daz....

To whom should I sacrifice my firstborn to acquire such arcane knowledge? Or maybe you accept lesser currency, such as a thirdborn or a not much-loved in-law?

I was a Vue user as well . I refuse to use software that requires a subscription so I'm done with E-on unless they go back to their old sales model. For painting instances you could try Infinito https://www.daz3d.com/infinito-1-0. I bought it years ago and it ran poorly on my old computer but it works just fine on my current system (Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB ,Ryzen AMD CPU). The terrain textures are a bit lacking and I would love to see an updated version, but after watching the old Youtube tutorials and spending some time with it I'm amazed at what it can do.  I've been exporting trees and rocks from Bryce for UltrScatter Pro scenes but sadly the trees don't look all that great.

UltraScenery is an awesome tool. I haven't touched Daz Studio in years and now I'm excited about rendering again.

Save your children and in-laws. You might need to barter them for something else in the future. laugh HowieFarkes has said that a clearing feature is in the works for a future update.

Wow, thank you for the kind words and detailed feedback. I'm not sure if a painting method is feasible using the scripting API of Daz Studio. Might be possible using the Plugin-in SDK but I'm not sure if I want to go down that road (you may not see an update to UltraScenery for a year or two). Also completely randomized rocks and plants would hit a hard limitation of the Studio instancing system - instances can only be modified from their source object in scale, position, and rotation - that is one of the powerful features of Vue is that their engine can instance infinte randomized variations of each object.

I don't have a lot of experience with Smart Content but if you look through the "Content Library"instead you'll see that most things are already placed in folders.

Spectacular render, beautifully lit.  Mossy Hollow Botanica is one of my all time favorite landscape sets so I will look forward to the release of this one.

    Cheers,
