How to use goodies ??

In my first topic "problem with a dress", Patience55 gave me a page with some goodies :

I download some of them like the burqua for example.
This is a normal DAZ folder with a lot of contents in different subdirectories
I try to put the main folder in the main folder of my documents, (in french it's named "studio") but nothing appears in the programm
I've tried also to put the different contents into the corresponding sub-directory : content in content, pepole in "people", runtime in "runtime", but nothing works..

so what's the idea ??

    The Data, People and Runtime folders from the installer need to be merged with the Data, People and Runtime folders in your content directory - probably My DAZ 3D Library in your public documents folder if you are a newcomer using the DAZ Install Manager.

    As they don't have installers, they won't show up in the smart content. You'll need to find them in your 'Content Library' under Daz Studio formats. The format usually goes People -> [Figure Name] -> Dynamic Clothing. Replace Figure name with Victoria 4 or whichever figure the item is designed for. Note that with dynamic clothing you will want to drape it using the Dynamic Clothing tab as it does not move with the figure in the traditional sense.

    thanks ! i'll try this !

    (of course I've tried fist the install manager but there no way to put in files to be installed - or I didn't fin it ..)

    DIM is only for products/software that you get from the DAZ3D store...period.

    I seem to recall trying some props from this site and they did not work. If you do find a way to install them so they function, please post! :)

    Vandalprime I have all those freebies and every single one works in Daz Studio.

    Without knowing what the issue is makes it hard for anyone to help you.

    All those Items are Dynamic in use Vandalprime if you did not use the Dynamic Tool they do not work, They do not pose with a figure like other clothing in DAZ Studio. That of course assumes the content was installed properly before you tried to use them.

    hi everybody..

    big trouble when I try to use this goodies : perhaps a misdoing ?
    Now DAZ open normally but the "smartcontent" is empty.. definitively
    I can use the fonctions of DAZ only trough the content library but it's not easier

    I tried tu re-install DAZ through the daz installer and now I have two DAZ ! : the 32bit and the 64 bit..
    I suppose it's a source of conflict ??

    may I de-installed the 32 bit without risk of loosing scenes or stuff ??
