Hi again :)
Im just curious as to if Carrara can model with Quads? As far as i can tell the default are triangles, but i was just wondering if there was any way to use quads as the default. The reason i am asking is, the project i am i working on with a friend he started off, and he has used quads only he says. Seeing as though im still new to all of this (lol), i just thought i would ask and see if there is something im missing.
Would unitriangulate be the correct tool to start off with and then work from there?

I think the answer was right in front of me :)
I've only seen now, that if you create a new object in the modelling room it IS in quads! I've only ever converted objects from the assembly room into vertex and then seen them in triangles, but never tried creating a new one. Doh :)
