face transfer failed to load a Genesis 8

Hi,

I have Daz Studio 4.12.0.86 Pro Edition

I have genesis 8 male & female starter essentials installed

But, in Face Transfer, when i click to generate it say :

"face transfer failed to load a genesis 8 figure. Could not locate the genesis male 8 file : data/Daz3D/Genesis 8 male starter essentials/Utilities/Genesis Male whith basic wear.duf"

do i have to remove and reinstall genesis 8 ?

or do i have to manually create folder and file ?

    I don't know when you installed them, but Face transfer requires the latest update to Genesis 8 Starter Essentials, so it might be worth the try to reinstall them.

    no update is  avalable on DIM

    Notice the path. I'm getting this error because my library is installed on a separate drive, something we should be able to designate but I've not seen how to do that yet. You can work around by loading the Genesis 8 figure first.

    I had that just the other day. Uninstall the Genesis 8 Male and Female Starter essentials from DIM and reload and DIM should find them again. They added a clothing top and bottom duf to the female base so your newly created face is not on an unclothed body. Apparently, not a big enough change to push out an update, unless you want to use the Face gen.
