Washed out textures in a couple of items in my scene

Hi all,

There’s probably something really obvious I’m overlooking, but this test render (in Poser Pro 2014) I’ve done of a scene I put together is washing out several of the figures. All the washed out bits seem to be wooden parts of the Reflections Furniture set, although not all items in this set seem to be affected.

I really have no idea how to troubleshoot something like this, so any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated, please.

Is there anyone who can render one of these items in default settings and see if they get the same issues, please?

Thanks!

Sorry for the duplication, but on reflection, I thought it might be more appropriate to be asking for help here.

I am unfamiliar with Poser so I can't help directly, however one thing that leaps to mind is that possibly you have the ambient setting too high in the object's materials; that would do it. Normally you would want the ambient setting to be zero and only use the diffuse setting, because you want the objects to be lit only by lights, the way it works in the real world. Ambient settings are "fake" light that comes evenly from nowhere, and that is the exact kind of problem you would see if you were using it.

That's exactly what it was. Thank you so much!
