Shadow transparency bug or Daz Studio limitation?

Hi I need help figuring out if this is a bug or a known limitation of Daz Studio...
Basically I am rendering a 97 frame animation in layers using the HDR pro sets. That way I can tweak my character independent of the background.
Problem is, as you can see in the pictures attached below, Daz exports my transparent character layer in PNG format but includes white in the shadow generated from the Shadow Catcher. Why it would do that is beyond me, is this a bug or a known limitation of Daz?
Regardless, is there a way to export with transparency from Daz Studio so that my shadows stay black?
My only option at this point is to go through each frame, circle select the white shadow and run a white "color to alpha" operation, which leaves only the black part of the shadow.
Thanks for any help!

What are you using for the shadow to hit? Id try using a shadow catcher shader on a plane, which when renders shows only the shadow.
Set the bg color in daz to black as well.
Try this one if you dont want to go through the process of making your own:
http://www.sharecg.com/v/56594/browse/7/Material-and-Shader/Shadow-Catcher-with-adjustable-opacity?interstitial_displayed=Yes
I am using the default shadow catcher that is part of each HDR Pro Set when it loads.
BUT... Turns out all I had to do was make the background black! Thanks for the suggestion.
