Body Morphing/Shaping: I can't figure it out.

I have DAZ 4.6 and the characters are Genesis 2 (64 bit Windows Vista). I didn't buy any packs yet. I can't figure out how to change the shape and size of a nose and the size of the abdomen or the mass of the body as a whole. I looked at some of the tutorials, and they look different from what I have. For example, I switched to the region navigator tool. I try highlighting the body part I want to morph, but to no avail.

I go to shaping, and the only options are Genesis 2 Male, Actor (Greyed out), Head, Head Real World, Face (Greyed out), Mouth, Mouth Real World, Upper Body (Greyed out), Hands, Hands real world, chest, waist (which is only for adjusting the navel), waist real world, lower body (greyed out), feet, feet real world.

Those are the only options available under Shaping.

I try to expand the options under the Genesis 2 Male sub menu, and still, it doesn't have all of the morphing options. The same happens if I try to select All under the Genesis 2 Male menu.

I tried playing with the parameters and I still couldn't get it to work right.

What am I missing? Is it possible that I have to buy body and face morph features to unlock them? I was going to consider buying a morph pack, but it was only compatible with Genesis. What else could be wrong? I can't find the menus that show the rest of the anatomy as pictured in the tutorials and user guides. It just isn't working for me.

Please note that I'm quite new to rendering 3D graphics.

Thanks for any help.

Genesis 2 only comes with some basic morphs from the beginning, so to get the most out of it you will need to purchase some characters or morph packs. If you click on the Shaping Tab you have two options. Presets and Editor. Presets will give you just that -- a set of predefined morphs which you simply click on. Editor allows you to move individual sliders to customize the appearance of Genesis and make her appear as you want.

Obviously, the more morphs you buy the greater the flexibility and the more options you will have available in the editor. The real power lies in being able to use any of these morphs at varying amounts to blend in and create some truly unique characters. And of course, because it's Genesis, any clothing will automatically change to accommodate the figure as well.

Here are links to the relevant morph sets for Genesis 2:

    Genesis 2 Female Morphs Bundle
    Genesis 2 Male Morphs Bundle

There are plenty of other morph sets available, and while the above sets will give you many options, if you like customizing characters you may wish to purchase more morphs in order to expand your possibilities. If you can't afford to buy anything at the moment, check out the free DieTrying morphs available at ShareCG, available for both G2F and G2M thanks to SickleYield's conversions.

RamWolff also has a good set of morphs for both G2F and G2M.

Both the DieTrying and RamWolff sets will cover a lot of ground and while having a ton of stuff don't quite get it all (neither do the bundles). And they will work with the 'official' bundles, too...

    Hi.

I have male body morphs bundle and Michael 6 pro bundle.
I am trying to morph an overweight guy into a well built guy.

I can load the genesis figure etc and dial up the morph. The problem comes in actually saving the morph process and then rendering it.

I have followed the various videos on you tube and I simply cannot get this right - It's most frustrating.
I am a newbie, but I'm more than willing to get it right.
Does anyone have a step-by-step (with pictures of what to click etc) that I can follow as I'm about to pull my hair out from frustration :)

Thanks a lot for any help.

You do not need to save the morphs as they are already made for you to use. You need to save your Scenes or Scene Subsets of the figure as it changes if this is for still renders.

EDIT if this is an Animation you just save it as a Scene. Tip Always save any of those to inside your DS content folder.
