Best way to spend birthday money? How to update Daz Studio? Solved

I saw there was a new version of Daz Studio. Should I update it? I am still really green and it did boast some tutorial features. I feel like I just got the other one set up though. I looked I have 4.6 installed already, sorry thought from the promo the other day it was a newer version.
Also I got some money for my birthday. I'm torn. I was looking at getting some things like The Fabricator and 1.99 clothing sets or Carrara. I can't do both. I am enjoying Daz Studio. In the end I want Carrara but right now I am leaning towards working with textures. I have nothing invested in scenes yet and that makes Carrara look really good. Pricing plants and trees and microcosm makes Carrara look like a really good investment. Others have pointed out that Carrara 9 is just around the corner and my best bet might be to wait on that version. Why can't I just win lotto and have it all? Decisions, Decisions....

The current version of DAZ Studio is 4.6.2.118. It was just updated a week or so ago. Carrara is a very powerful program and a good investment if you want a good modeling app.
I would hold your money until March Madness (just around the corner) unless you see something you want in a really good sale before then.
Do I need to completely reinstall Daz Studio to get the updated version?
The install manager is the coolest thing. Updating it was truly painless. Not at all what I was expecting. I thought I was going to have start from scratch and redo everything. Nope.
LOL! Nope DAZ Studio and Content are two fully different things. One does not bother the other.
