I'm wondering if someone could please tell me how to make the hair look more realistic? Any tips would be appreciated.

Heya! In my experience pure white hair (or pure white anything, really) can be really hard to work with. The easiest thing to check for your pic might be to try a more off-white or grey color for it. Since your light is very bright it'll still look white, but it should help tone down some of the blowout that's happening in the highlights and make it look more natural. For the strands themselves, I don't know which hair model that is but you might get more realistic results with a different shader.
For hair with a really sharp stop between the hairline and face, I often put another hair cap from a different set on underneath it, to give the illusion of smaller hairs leading up to the hair piece. It doesn't always look right, though. If you're comfortable in Photoshop or other graphics programs with custom brush creation, you can get brushes that simulate hair and paint in stray strands and flyaways in postwork, which can help a lot.
Yeah, even a very nice white wig looks "okay" at best.
