Background image refelction - possible?

Is it possible to have a background image (a JPEG file loaded as the background) reflected in a mirror? It just shows up as black in the reflection for me.

    No. But you can put the Image on a Primative plane as the Diffuse Image under Surfaces then it will reflect in the mirror if the camera angle is correct and the plane is placed properly.

    I'm not exactly positive but I would think you would need to load a primitive and apply the texture to it to be able to view it through a mirror.

    There go those good minds thinking alike again! Thank you both. That is working great. Positioning is a little tricky, but I got what I wanted.
