i would avoid public restrooms at all costs, but I get thirsty easily so I tend to drink a lot of water and other drinks. I learned the hard way too many times unfortunately choose a good restroom when possible or one might have to choose between a dirty restroom or dirty pants.
I'm tempted to get it purely for those lovely bubbles floating in the air.
...we are proud of our loos up here.
I spent time in Germany years ago and am familiar with the "washout" type which is similar.
Last time i was in the korean airport in soul I recall many signs posted "do not stand on toilet seats!!" in the bathrooms.
my former workplace had those, with an illustration
this is Adelaide South Australia
a lot of our agency workers were on working visas from elsewhere where squat toilets were the norm and yes, one would frequently see boot prints on the seats
Such a simple and universal process, yet with so many solutions.
The thing is, there are a number of reasons that people DO stand on toilet seats, ranging from "peepers" peering over the top of the next stall, to hiding from security or other travelers, to, as noted above, the chance of users simply being used to traditional in-ground Chinese "squat" toilets. Putting up signs that say "don't stand on the toilet seats" are unlikely to stop the act, but they do serve the same purpose for airports that the "Warning Hot Beverage" labels on Fast Food cups serve... they are unlikely to stop people from doing something, but they do give the airport a legal out when a catastropic injury occurs when someone slips.
