Does anyone know how to apply skin for the Genesis eyebrows? I can't believe I am having a hard time with this.

Most of the eyebrows are painted on the face texture map...

When using the Genesis Eyebrow Item from the store Please read the Install READ ME it tells you where the Documentation is and that explains the usage very well.

Tip: I have the Item and do not think the Edges Blend to the face texture well enough to use this item. That is just my personal opinion.

You apply the same skin to the brow prop that you used on the person/figure iirc.

I don't actually have the prop, but try this: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/8726/#116135

As an aside, if those V4 SSS mats you're using are for Poser, they won't look right in DS.

that's what they look like rendered and I like it. They are MRL and I think they are for daz. I would like to make my on skin mats. How do I do that?

As the Supplied Brow textures are NOT SSS they will not work over a SSS based texture on the figure, I believe.

The steps are Add brow. Select brow, apply FIGURE texture to Brow
then apply chosen Brow texture to brow.

    Patience and caffeine. lol

To start from complete scratch requires the figure's UVs and really good references images, but that's a pain in the arse and is easier with something like Blacksmith 3D or Zbrush, or something that can do 3D texture painting well enough.

Quite a few people use what are called merchant resources. They're premade skins for you to edit. Not all allow you to create freebies with them, so if that's your plan, you'd need to find out which ones allow this and which don't. If they're only for personal use and/or commercial characters, pretty much all of them are ok for that, but again, check the readme's.

I don't feel like much of an artist using other peoples skin I mean sure the bodies and faces are all me but the skin brings it together.

In that case, you'll find the uv references on the Resource Files tab of the figures product page. Snow Sultan's seam guides are useful: http://www.snowsultan.com/3.html
You'll also want to look into buying good reference images from somewhere like http://3d.sk

Patience55's creating skins from scratch tutorial is also a good starting point: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/31369/

Well, you don't "need". You could do it in a 2d painting app, it's just much harder than an app that can handle 3d texture painting. Zbrush and Blacksmith3D are just the ones that get thrown around here more often (I'd go with Blacksmith over Zbrush personally, unless you're a heavy modeler).

See my bit about merchant resources above then in post #9.

You'll also want to remove that image as you're pretty much posting a map from a paid product here for all to grab.

Ok so I just buy merchant templates and edit them? O thanks for the heads up I thought it was ok cause it still had the copyright on it.

Yep, that's all there is to it. You'll want to work on copies though as not to destroy the originals.

Again though, If you plan on distributing them freely, you'll want to be sure any sources you use is ok for non-commercial distribution (ie freebies).

I don't think I can make them. If I could just lighten and darken the sss mats I already have or just edit them. You see the 2 characters I posted I would like to change the eyebrows thats why I bought the eyebrows but iam still lost on how to use it.
