How to install items like Villa Venus

Evening

Over the holidays I purchased a bunch of Greek items for a project but I can only install A Grand Entrance and A Mediterranean Balcany as these have the Daz Shared Config files along with the .zip files.

Unfortunately all the ones I purchased along with the above only have the .zip files and find the DIM won't see them as I guess they don't have the config files. Any ideas on how I get round this?

The outstanding items I cannot install are:

Classical Pool
Villa Venus - Pool
Villa Venus - Balcony
Villa Venus - Entrance

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Jay

Well, on WIndows at least you can just place the contents of the Content folder from the zips in the \DAZ 3D\Studio\MY Library folder in your Documents folder (to keep them separate from the files that DIM installs). That should be set as a content directory with a default DAZ Studio install so they should work, though they won't show in Smart Content.

    Hi

I've copied all the content folders over (ie each of the .zip files had a content folder which then had subfolders for libraries, textures etc) into the respective Runtime folder in My Daz 3D library. Restarted the PC and fired up Daz and can't see them. Also found a web link where it mentioned copying all the data over into the Runtime in Program Files, Daz, Studio, Content, Runtime. Did that and still no joy

The folders from the Content folder in the zip should go in the folder that holds the Runtime folder on your machine, so that any Runtime is merged with the existing Runtime and so on. That's why Mac users have more of a problem as they have to be careful not to replace the existing Runtime with the one from the zip.

Alright, after a lot of messing around, uninstalled Daz and reinstalled all my content I can now see and use them. Was a brutal fix but at least it's done now

Thank you for your help Richard.

    Cheers

    Jay
