No Products, No Categories, No idea why

Hello,

just started Daz, and as above. Daz Studio formats & Poser formats fully populated. Also I can't create categories.

How can I get products and categories back?

    Your CMS has stopped. Close DS, and go to (in Windows) Start > Programs > DAZ 3D > DAZ Content Management Service > Start DAZ Content Management Service to restart it. If it keeps stopping, or stops as soon as you start DS, then there may be corruption in the database, and we can assist you further. Since you make your own categories, I advise Exporting User Data periodically so that if the database becomes irretrievably corrupted you can get your categories back.

    Thanks, I tried this but I have only Stop[ CMS & Uninstal CMS, no start.

    Strange, but you can make your own. Open notepad and paste in the following:
    C:\Windows\system32\net.exe start DAZContentManagementService
    save that with the name "StartCMS.bat". Then yu can double-click on it to restart it.
    You can also uninstall and reinstall it (this won't remove your database, just update the service to the latest version). If you use DAZ Install Manager, you can find the installer for CMS here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZ3DIM1\cms
    If you don't use DIM, reinstalling DAZ Studio will reinstall the CMS if you uninstall CMS first -- again, this won't affect your database or content.

    Hello,

    I have the same problem again after updating the Daz Instal Manager, only this time the Content Management Service does not appear under Start > Programs > DAZ 3D >

    Can anyone help with this?

    I should say that I have it going by running StartCMS.bat.

    What I am after is why does this happen after updates? Is there anything that I can do to stop it?

    You're saying the start menu entries for CMS disappeared after updating DIM, and you weren't updating CMS?
