settings are reset every time

I've tried to change shortcut keys of Viewport Tools (e.g. changing from Shift+Alt+V into V alone). But there is nothing to save my selection and every time I start DAZ it returns to the default value. I've exported the settings but don't want to reload it everytime.

    Its a known problem. Some time ago I shared a custom layout for Daz Studio 4.6 and it suffered from the same problem. Because I was convinced that it was a bug I filed a support ticket (request #155440) around December last year.

    It has been marked as solved for some time because there is a new version of Daz Studio coming up (according to the response on said ticket this is going to be 4.6.1.75). That version should no longer have this bug any more.

    I think the Short cut keys are a known issue that is getting looked into. I gave up changing mine. Every other new update seems to break them. When I read they are fixed for one release it often does not work for me in the next if I edit anything. If I never touch them they work but just changing one sets them all back to default on my PC. Sometimes they just load default and stay that way. I use a very Custom layout and was using custom keys until this started. I'm sure it will be fixed again.

    Thanks for clarification. I have got 4.6.1.39 on Mac. How can I download the latest version? I've tried to redownload from https://www.daz3d.com/get_studio but it doesn't work. Thank you.

    .39 is the LAST full version so far. There is a Beta in the DAZ Studio Discussion Forums but I do not run the Beta's on my Main PC. So I do not know if it has been addressed in it or not.

    I customized my buttons and then saved my workspace. Hasn't reset so far.

    Windows > Workspace > Save Layout As

    I set my viewport movement keys up like Blender to make it easier to transition between the two apps.

    Thank you Vaskania. Can you please tell me step-by-step what to do? I've set up the shortcut. Save layout as Shortcut Preferences. Quit DAZ. Start DAZ again and everything is reset. Even if I reload Shortcut Preferences, the shortcuts are still default.

    After setting up your keys under Windows > Customize, click apply then accept. Then go to Windows > Workspace > Save Layout As. Give your layout a name and leave all of the options on Custom.

    From now when you load your workspace, everything should stick, including those keybinds. If it still reverts, go up to Windows > Select Layout, and choose the one you saved.

    I think the issue shows only if your customised key bindings don't use a modifier - if you use plain U for the universal manipulator for example. If you do include a modifier then they do save.

    It's saved without modifier. And now bug about this gone in 4.6.2. We should celebrate! Try it everyone :-D
