A little confused

I was looking to buy http://www.daz3d.com/fw-naida-and-nalin and it says that V6 and M6 are required, But it says it compatible with G2. So do I need to buy both V6 and M6 before purchasing this?

Sorry if it sounds a silly question

    It says on the product page to the link that you gave -

    It also says on the What's included and features page:

    •Naida and Nalin for Genesis 2 Female(s) (.DUF and .CR2)


    I don't have this item, so I can't say for certain, but it certainly looks like it can be used without V6.

    Nalin certainly can :

    Nalin works on the basic Genesis 2 Female and the Body Morphs

    It may be that you wont get the 'exact' look for Naida if you don't use V6 first, but that is not made clear.

    I assume that FWart first tried to match the real person by dialing morphs on V6, exported to zbrush to finetune and back in studio saved the morph presets as a new figure. So yes, as far as I know, you should buy both requirements. V6 is just a genesis 2 morph. The power of stapeling morphs can (as in this case) come with the cost of the need to buy something else.

    Well, if you just want to have this product instead of using it directly, than buy it and V6 when they are at a greatly reduced price. Since DAZ3D takes about 50% of the price, many artists sell their products for about twice the price they first had in mind.
    Personally I don't have V6 yet, since I haven't seen it with a great price reduction. I will wait till it hit the 65% reduction (65% is 50% + 30% Platinum Club savings)

    By the way, I don't have this product so I can't confirm anything for you.

    It also includes textures that may be based on V6 and M6 UV mapping.

    Both Nadia and Nalin use V5 UVs, so you don't need V6 to use the skin.

    The Nadia shape uses 0.72 Victoria 6 Body, so the Nadia morphs will not work correctly without V6. I don't think the Nalin body shape use V6.

    Note: Nalin is a male character build on the Genesis 2 Female base. This was released before Genesis 2 Male was available. Nalin has a genital bulge, but I don't think the geocrafted G2M genitals will work on Nalin.

    Also note: The so called SSS Mats that come with these characters use the AoA shader, but they have SSS turned off.
