How to Save a Character's Morphs?

I have a scene with three characters and I've morphed each one differently. How to save each character's morphs separately so I can apply them to those individual characters in later scenes. Please note that later scenes may include only one of the characters, so please don't give me a solution that saves the morphs of all three characters at once. Thank you for your help.

    Use Save As > Character Preset for each figure, and save it somewhere inside your DAZ 3D Library folder.

    Under what tool should I select each character before saving as a character preset, should I select universal, active pose, or region navigator? Also how do I apply the preset in later scenes?

    You don't need to use any particular tool, just make sure that the character is selected in the Scene pane. I usually use the translate tool instead of the Universal, but either would do for selecting in the Viewport. It is easier to see what is selected in the Scene pane though.

    Select the character, and then save as a Character Preset as explained. This will save a .DUF file, mine are saved into My DAZ 3D Library > Presets > Character, and then they can be applied to any new figure that you load into a scene.

    Are these Genesis or Genesis 2 characters you have created?

    But remember to write down your dials, because after you choose "Save as morph preset" (because you only care about the morph, not textures, right?) and type a name, a window will show up asking which parts to use. You will only see Genesis with a yellow tick at first, but you have to UNTICK it, then open the scroll-down list and choose EVERY DIAL you used. Otherwise you'll end up with all the morphs you have transferred - which will work for you (because you have those morphs and only dials different than zero will matter), but nobody else will be able to use them. I remember struggling to find that simple truth, a tutorial helped me.

    @JC, thanks I'm using Genesis.
    @ CR, thank you for your tips but under "save as" there's no "save as morph preset". How are you getting that?

    Many save options may cause some miss-understanding for new user,,, ^^;

    Jimmy suggested OP to save as character preset. not save as morph.
    because usually we think, pauljacob11 made new character shape
    by using morph( shape parameters) which have been installed and saved.

    On this case we need not save as morph ^^;

    if you modify some product moprh by other 3d tool, then overwrite it,
    or make new morph by 3d tool or d-former,then import them as new morph for genesis(genesis2)
    or clothings etc,, then make new palameters.

    or translfered morphs from other figure to another, or tweak parameter setting
    (eg add new ERC then saved the link as the morph, or change parameter back color,etc)
    and hope to record them, you need save as morph. (or to overwrite, you can use, save modified assets)

    if you simply change each morph parameter value (eg set Victoria4shape for gen 0.5, hitomi 0.3 Aiko 0.2
    etc) and adjust shape,, you need simply save character preset to load the current shape.
    it record each morph current values. not overwrite or change morph files saved in data.

    Thank you Kitakoredaz for your helpful comments. I already followed JimmyC suggestion to save as character prese and it worked nicely, but I simply was asking Ms. Robinson where the "save as morph preset" can be found because I couldn't find it under >file >save as -- as she instructed.

    File> save as> support asset>morph assets.

    If you are doing much work with the same figure in the fully built set up, Textures, hair clothing, (superheros are often in that one costume) you can do, Save As> Scene SubSet. Then select all you need to save at once for that one fully ready to re-use figure. The saved subset will then MERGE into any setting you have. I use that method in my Jaderail Story and in my Comic book that has not been shown yet.

    EDIT here is one of my work folders....

    I prefer the Scene SubSet also as the character and morph presets have one flaw, if any of the morphs used had the limits switched off or enlarged the presets can't override the limits on a newly loaded figure.

    Oooh, save as subset. I had not tried that. This sounds like it will save some work vs. save as character, save wearables, and then load twice into the scene.

    I tend to use character preset more than scene subset, as I'm more concerned with morphs/textures on the character than I am with what they are wearing, because most of the time, next time I use that one, it will be in a different outfit. But will use the scene subset if I'm going to be reusing everything.

    Scene subsets are perfect because they load everything you save at once - and the current scene is not lost. With saving as a scene, DS will ask you if you want to load it, which would erase all the progress you made. Scene subsets are simply merged with the scene.

    And I see somebody has already told you about saving the morphs ;). That's what I do, now it works correctly with checking only the dials actually used. SnowSultan describes this perfectly here on DA: http://snowsultan.deviantart.com/art/Saving-Genesis-Presets-in-Studio-4-5-updated-343297091.
