If you are talking real background, not a sci-fi screen or something, why not use green-screen ? (Chromakey)
Of course you need video editing software for that.

Yes I can do the chromakey in the editing program. I have a scene set up with objects in the following order.. Camera, actor, stone arch, flat screen, and then the background. I would like the moving animation on the flat screen to show through the arch. Another way to say it is on the screen of a TV. Or out the window of a moving train.

I'm pretty sure this one:
http://www.daz3d.com/animated-textures-plug-in-for-daz-studio
is not updated to work with DAZ 4.5 and higher.
But have a look at this (free):
https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/texanimfords3
We just got a Ani Texture thing FOR DAZ Studio 4.5+ its in the store. http://www.daz3d.com/plugins-utilities/animated-textures-script-for-daz-studio
That is BRAND new and built just a month or so ago.
Thanks everyone for the responses, links and suggestions. It looks like a challenge and beyond my ability, but than again so was 3D at one point.
