Serial numbers are inactive, retired

It's a small question but important for me. I've checked my serials and my serials for my old DAZ Studio version all marked as "inactive >> retired". Can someone explain me what does that means. Can I use them to activate my DAZ Studio or they are now invalid?

It wouldn't be a problem for DS 4.5, DS 2 and so on but I need DS 3 for rendering because my DS 4.6 is not able to render anything when I have a scene with one UE2 light source and a figure with SubD Modifier. It seems that DS4.6 needs to much memory for the same tasks I can do in DS 3. That's why I use DS 4.6 only for content creation.

As additional information: In the past it was possible to download DS 3 (free version) without purchase so I only activated it. That's why it is not listed in my products but in my serial list.

greetings

What it means is that the software they apply to has been retired, so is now inactive (No longer in the store). However as you still have it in your product library you can redownload it and still use it, so the serial numbers are still there for you.

Many thanks for the fast reply^^

I re-checked my orders and found the products in the download list, but I can't download the installer files for DS 3 only the Content packages are available. I have the installer as a backup on my external hard drive, but is that a bug that they not display?

Make sure you are looking at the actual DAZ Studio page - I have the Advanced Bundle and that page in my Product Library shows only the plug-ins from the bundle, but there are additional links across the bottom of the page for other parts of the bundle including the base application. The application has plain (with content) and No Content installers.

Thanks, but there are only two links. Both are for the DS Base Content. One for WIndows and one for Mac, nothing else. In the description only stands "DAZ Studio Modeling and Animation Software" no links. I added a screen of the product page as attachment.

OK, I just checked my account, and like you I only had the free version of DS 3 and also like you I no longer have a download link for the program.

I am advised to tell you that at this stage you should contact support, explaining the problem and see if they can help you by providing a download link. Use Help / Contact Us / Submit a Help Request, and use Sales as the relevant dept.
