I have DS 4.6.3.52 - 64 installed on a Win 7 desktop machine and no problem here. However, a few days ago I installed it on a Win 8.1 desktop machine also, and here I have this really annoying problem.

At first I thought it might be my Logitech M570 trackball as this model (as well as certain other newer Logitech mice) sometimes, usually after a few months but sometimes earlier, develop a tendency to double click or drop ("unclick") spontaneously when you do a single click or keep the buttons pressed. Check out the Logitech forum, there are several threads about this problem.

I have however three of these M570 so I tried them all one after one, same problem in DS with them all which seems a bit odd, not least because I haven't noticed any problems in other programs that could be caused by this (with one exception, see below *). So I tried to install one of them on the Win 7 machine (where I've used an older Logitech trackball until now), and as I suspected, no problems with DS here. I've also tried to swap the trackballs between the two machines, makes no difference, the problem is only on the Win 8.1 machine, no matter what I do.

*) I've tried to install Cararra 8.5 on the affected Win 8.1 machine also, and here it seems as if it's affected also, though not in the same way. I can see that the scene/objects sometimes jumps/flickers a bit when I move or rotate them, but unlike in DS they jump back to their original position like a spring, and it's usually not very much they jump so you probably won't notice it unless you look for it. I can not reproduce this flickering in Carrara on the Win 7 machine at all. See screenvideo here:

I've also tried to swap the trackballs between the two machines, makes no difference, the problem is only with the Win 8.1 machine.

BTW, I've also the Wacom driver (Intuous Pen) installed, but I haven't used the tablet at all while I've been having this problem.

    Mainboard: Asrock P5B-DE
    CPU Intel Q6600
    8 GB Kingston DDR2 RAM
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD6450 1 GB

Something has defiantly happened with Mouse sensitivity on manually translating objects in the past few DS versions. My cursor is constantly falling off when the highlight of the arrow, LMB, drag steps are performed my cursor drops of the translation tool.

I submitted a bug and just noticed I got a response (i should request responses to bug reports go to messages)
the suggestion was to upgrade to 4.6.3.52 and see if the behavior continues. It also stated the devs were looking into this and had not determined a cause as of yet.

So is anyone on 4.6.3.52 and still seeing this?

    Win 7 64 ult, 12GB DDR3, GTS 250 1GB DDR3 drivers up-to-date from MFG, no tablet.

    Win 8.1' 64-bit, AMD A10-6800

Submitted a bug a while back, but the debs were unable to recreate the problem...

Try this: clear your desktop so you can see the mouse cursor on the left part of the screen. Open DS and resize it to a small window. Now click the controls in the preview window and notice how the cursor jumps to a certain position of the screen every time you click. You can probably figure out the rest for yourself. See picture here:

BTW, you can get around the problem by keeping the mouse/trackball ball still while you left click the control, and first moving the mouse//trackball ball when the mouse button is pressed. A bit slow to work this way but it works.

As Arte Johnso would have said 'Veeeery Eeeenterestink!" .. sadly its not the preview wondow controls that are the main issue for me (I haredly ever use them) its the parameter sliders that are the worst - a simple touchj and they go change by several hundred units.. Then the object I;'m working on ceases to be selected, and then the mouse cursor might decide to disappear...
I suspect its an issue with the OpenGL window and how it hands focus back to the rest of the interface. That coupled with the way Win;8.1 handles mouse dpi, could make for an interesting intermittent bug to nail..

No matter what controls you are using the problem only occurs if you move the mouse/trackball ball while pressing the left button. At least that's how it behaves on my system.

I can imagine though that it's more difficult to keep a mouse still while clicking but it's very easy with a trackball as it doesn't "move" unless you touch the ball.

In any case, knowing that the mouse pointer jumps like it does here, to a fixed position, will probably make it easier to track down the cause of the problem.

Hm, strange. After rebooting my system the cursor now jumps to a different location on the screen when I click the controls, a bit lower and more towards the center of the screen.

Bumping the thread again for you. I just got started this past week using Daz3D Studio and discovered this mouse issue with the 3D rotation, then again later in the parameters. Awesome app that will rock my gaming dev world.....if can get this resolved. Not all sliders are

I'm running Win 7 32-bit with 8GB. The mouse moves FINE around the screen, it's when I drag parameters or try to drag the 3D box for camera rotation. I know it's NOT Windows as the mouse works in the OS, for all other apps, and in the dreaded 3DSMax. This issue is local to Daz3D only.

Anybody figure it out yet? This is basically killing my opportunity to switch to DAZ as I can't use what I can' control.

I'm afraid I had to butt in even before reading the whole thread, (I'm hoping there is an answer down there somewhere).
But I'm out searching for an answer when I came across this here. ..... It ertainly saved me explaing my problem!

Anyway, I run Windows 8.1 - 8GB and have all the exact same problems as you all.

I keep loosing the pointer, one moments its there and then poooff ... its gone.
Same with rotation and now .... none of the tools that could help me to rotate no longer work.

I can't pan around my character because I'm left with up down, side to side only.

I thought it may have something to do with me using a graphic pad, even though its a good one (Intuos pro) and is pin point precise when using Photoshop and other 3D Software.

So ... what the heck do I do now, I can't do anything with just up/down/side to side control?

I use Anywhere Mouse MX for my mouse, and had the same problem when I upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10.  I tried everything and eventually came across a solution (for me).  In the mouse settings of the mouse you're using (not the windows control panel mouse).  I changed the setting from SetPoint Settings to OS implementation.  It fixed the problem and the cursor doesn't go crazy when trying to select the cube.  Maybe this will work for you.

    Greetings,

I have been having this same problem, and I think I found a fix.  I went into the control panel and swapped the primary and secondry mouse buttons.  It seemed to fix the problem.   If you have problems with the mouse pointer vanishing, when it does try moving it to the default camera pulldown menu and click on it.  My mouse pointer reappears when I do this.

Mouse Without Borders, Synergy and similar programs may cause problems with the DS controls. Synergy does indeed on my system, it makes the DS controls spin like mad so they're totally unusable. If DS in on the Synergy server machine though it works OK, AFAIR.

There was also a problem with Wacom drivers and the DS controls, don't know if it exists anymore.

DS seems to be designed differently than other 3D programs (at least those I've tried) as I haven't seen this kind of problem with these.
