Hi guys. This will be available next month. This product has been completely restructured and contains new Jaw morphs, as well as HD details and all new individual tooth control options. On the main visible teeth you can now move each one back and forth, side to side and adjust the tooth angle. Also contains a whole host of new refinements as well as a new teeth shader. Also contains some basic tongue morphs to help with the look. In total there are now over 100 morphs, nearly double the amount on the Genesis1 version. Will get some pics up soon:)

Thanks Spyro:) Here is a quick example showing the new Jaw morphs that enables over and underbite, as well as the new individual teeth control morphs. So you can go subtle or extreme:) Busy refining the textures and will post pics of those as well as more examples when all is finalized.

Here are more examples of the Jaw morphs dialled at different strengths. Essentially you can control the upper and lower morphs to your liking and can get some nice or crazy looks depending on what you are going for.

Cool! Jaw morphs will be quite useful, I did notice it was an area that needed some more adjustment morphs, especially when creating different ethnicities, likewise extremes can easily be achieved by the looks too HAHA!

And to be released on same day...

    Dental Bling

Created with Dental Plan2 in mind. You will be able to bling each tooth with solid gold or silver and designs in gold or silver for the front 6 upper and lower teeth.

One must occasionally get down with one's bad self. :)

    Wow - on both products!

That dental plan is a definite improvement on Genesis 1's... The mention of tongue morphs makes me wonder, would it be possible to do a specialist tongue morph set? As in completely different shapes? Would really bolster the creature creator pack creations, if we can do split tongues, flat tongues, massively extendable tongues, etcetera. Wouldn't be averse to a selection of different Giger-like mouths geo-grafted for the end of them, either. :)

Doing a specialized tongue morph set is entirely possible:) This set however only contains basic extended functions of the tongue to assist with the placement when doing dental morphs since that is primarily the products focus.

Here are some promos. I also added a few tooth rotation morphs for the most visible teeth (mainly the ones in front) so you can twist them as well.

Would be very interested if a tongue shape morph set ever did come out!

Love how this new dental set allows for proper roundness and alternative thickness of teeth. When it comes to sharp ones, I like being able to alternate between flattened 'shark teeth' looks, needle-like and crocodile appearances. Doing a vampire-related art project at the moment and this shall really help. The previous dental set already has done. :)

Just thought, is it possible to give individual teeth serrated, jagged edges? Shark-style?

It is possible (would have to test it first), however this product has already been sent to Daz for testing so I cannot add any new features or I will miss the release date schedualled. Will have to look at the poly structure on the teeth to see if serrated edges can be done properly. It would probably have to be HD morphs. However, isolating it for each tooth would mean something like 32 separate HD morphs, so I would have to see how viable and practical that option would be. Would make more sense doing two morphs, one for upper teeth and one for lower teeth. Another alternative is to try and do it with displacement maps but that would be a nightmare to try and intergrate into the material interface.

Always enlightening to hear about the process behind these things. Appreciate the input!

I didn't used to think there would be so many applications for HD...

Oh the HD tech is very handy:) We can add details that aren't restricted to a specific UV set, which I really find useful:)

Looking forward to the release. Sooner is better - have teeth eagerly waiting treatment. :)

Any chance any of this goodness being backported to Genesis1?

Also, for the examples, would it be possible to have the "recipes" used to produce them?

Hi Mike. The Genesis1 version was released over a year ago. I will see if it is viable to update it. Too be honest, for its time I was happy with what it had to offer. I prefer moving forward instead of going back. Re-doing older products to match newer ones means time taken away from development on new products, which is first priority. I'm not saying it won't happen, but currently I have way too many projects that are already behind schedule. In terms of a recipe, I made the product easy to understand so users will find it easy to get into. Here is a video showing it in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pt5GyFFY-2E If I have time, I will see if I can't make some presets.:cheese:

Question: I have a character (The BeastMan) that has monster teeth. I want his teeth to look normal, but there doesn't appear to be a way to do that (no morph back to normal that I could find). Would Dental Plan fix that..? ie: can I replace the monster teeth entirely with normal teeth..? tx

Can you post a pic of the beastman teeth? From that I can see based on the image if the morphs can counter the effect. Also the Beastman is for Genesis1, not 2, so I will have to look at Dental Plan for Genesis.

Of course I complicated things by using GenX2 to put BeastMan on Genesis 2 Male...

Is that a rendered version? The teeth look like it came out distorted in the GenX conversion. If that is the case, the morphs wont work properly as the distortion is already on the base shape, so the Dental Plan morphs would just distort things further. In order for them to work, it needs a good base to work from.

Well maybe when you get the conversion over properly we can talk again:) As of right now with those teeth, I cannot assist.
